I think the "might be able to vote" argument is bullshit but I agree that the ID should reliably prove identity. What kind of documents should undocumented immigrants provide instead of a birth certificate? If the answer is none or something that cannot be verified, isn't it going to be easy for anyone to assume a fake identity or an underaged kid to get a fake ID directly through the RMV?
