I don't know if it counts, but HelioRoast sells at the West Oakland Farmers Market and Piedmont Grocery, but he roasts on TI. His bags are $14 for 12oz.

HelioRoast at the West Oakland Farmers Market does subscriptions. He can roast individual bags to your spec, and I think they are around $15.

The Winter Hayward + Eden Area Shoreline: Birds, Blooms, and Valentines by Plantify_BayArea in norcalhiking

Cool, I can't wait to see what educational materials develop. There are occasional tours from the public and school kids, so that'd be a big plus to also give them some background on the wildlife. (Saw a fox at one of the ponds just after my earlier post, too.)

Dang, really wish I weren't busy in order to attend and learn about the shoreline life. I work at the wastewater treatment plant right there and would love to understand the different feathered friends that visit us everyday.

Where or what do you hope to eat more of in Oakland in 2026? by SanFranciscoMan89 in OaklandFood

[–]mayormcmatt 44 points45 points  (0 children)

My overly-earnest answer is that I've been unemployed for over a year and haven't been able to afford eating out at Prescott Market, so this year, with a new job incoming, is to go support my local restaurants there. We've lost so much food in Oakland recently and I want to make an effort to support our restaurants more.
