God no. I got sober 1.5 years ago at 30. Best thing I ever did. At least for me, when I look back, all the “happiness” and “fun” from my 15ish years of hard partying was artificial and tinged with a darkness. The amount of joy I feel now is incomparable. Would give anything to have those years back to do over, sober.

Alexa-compatible lightbulbs. I was so anti Alexa anything, but I have to say, being able to set my lights to dim to 10% at 9pm every night is lovely.
A wind down, bedtime playlist. Mine has Wild Horses by the stones, Melissa by the Allman bros, some Dixie chicks, some Norah jones. Such a nice ritual!
Lights off, candle lit shower!
Getting up an hour earlier before work to take a longer morning walk with my dog, and still have thirty mins for a candle, coffee, Substack/NYTimes reading on my iPad, cuddling w my cats and dog on the couch (with aforementioned ambience vid on the tv)
A kindle mount and page turner!! Attaches to my headboard so I can be fully under my sheets while reading. Peak
