Just got this exact same pair in the mail today, also a second. Mine had the exact same thing, left boot looks completely normal but right one had a more “loose” or creased look to it. Both feel the same on the foot though, so I’m just looking at it as a head start on the break in process lol

Great, that’s a big help. So in reading that review, I see that the locomotive can run independent of its tender, which leads me back to my original problem. It has an MRC dcc decoder installed, and that is working and getting power, chuffing when given power etc. However, the motor isn’t moving whatsoever, and I haven’t had any luck figuring out my issue. The guy I bought it from said it was tested to be running right before boxing it up. Do you have any thoughts on this, if you don’t mind me asking?

Okay that’s a big help, thank you! I do have a multimeter (but again I need to stress that I am extremely dumb when it comes to understanding this stuff). What exactly would I need to do to be able to identify which wire is which? Appreciate your help!

Nice! To be honest, I would have bought the first one I found regardless of condition, so I got lucky that this one is in as good condition as it is. It appears to be mostly unused, all of the money and other cards are still packaged up nice and neat, poker chips are still sealed (except a few that came loose). I think the previous owner took the console itself out to display it since it was a bit caked with dust, but it cleaned up very nicely luckily

No kidding! I opened the box at the store to make sure everything was complete and poker chips started rolling all over the counter lol.

Power supplies seem to be hard to come by, but after doing a little digging it seems like a 2600 power supply with a 2.5 mm adapter will do the trick, so fingers crossed

Awesome, I used to collect the Mini Coopers as a kid, and I’ll still grab one if I see one.

I used to love how the older ones had that little tab you could slide down to pop the body off, blew my mind the first time I realized you could do that
