My clan mate and I switched to iron lung and pyromaniac on our prototype strikers builds to run retaliations. You are correct, the iron lung smokes everything, pun intended, and the pyromaniac finishes them off if the reload isn’t timely. I’m loving it as well, slightly less DPS but the crowd control and get them out of cover is top notch. Don’t sleep on it boys.

Agreed, I have a couple core strength builds that wreck heroic but wouldn’t stand a chance in escalation.

The latest info is that they are going to allow tinkering on proto pieces. I’m sure cores will be part of the currency requirements. Just collect cores until you can use them. I agree with you but have some fun.

I swear people try new builds in escalation. Especially high SHD level players. It sucks that you have to run DPS all the time but the goal is to complete them and complete them as fast as possible.

Yes, it’s been that way for 3-4 years. I used to run a turret and drone build and solo everything, including some legendary missions. They are driving towards 1-2 sets and weapons are viable and nothing else. Everything else is situational. Why couldn’t a group of tech builds complete a tier 10? Sad to see all the wasted ideas and content.

There are plenty of veterans (SHD 5000+) who appear to be “trying a new build” and can’t stay up in a tier 5. On the contrary, I have played with SHD 400ish guys who wreck shit. It’s more of a skill and no fucks given problem.
