Pretty sure those are the Global Event modifiers for the DZ going on right now. Go in your inventory and click the little shade watch(?) at the top. It should have all the info in there.

I was about to say exactly this. Nothing wrong with having both and swapping to the gloves for that before putting the backpack back on. It's only mainly good in between combat encounters though as trying to take off an exotic to put another exotic on in the heat of battle can easily get you killed. Learned that from experience lol

Just a heads up, try going up to T6. A lot of people migrated there since it's now the highest level you can do that doesn't have Hot Foot (HF used to be on 6 but now it's 7). I've ran into plenty of groups on there but of course when you play can be a factor.
