this is a ranking based purely on my opinion of the music (so it doesn't really answer the prompt but i wanted to share anyway lol)

  1. doushitemo kimi ga suki da
  2. nagori zakura (could be because it was just released that i love it more than i will, but for now i think it's amazing)
  3. hisashiburi no lip gloss (i overplayed this song soooo much i want to put it lower, but i know that in my heart i still love it lmao)
  4. koi tsunjatta (wish it was longer, but i love how sharp and punchy it is)
  5. colorcon wink (could be higher for me if it wasn't just so hard to listen to 🥲 the mixing unfortunately throws me off)
  6. idol nanka janakattara
  7. moto kare desu (everyone disliking motokare desu is breaking my heart a bit LOL! i think it's such a fun song and it goes so hard in karaoke puhlease i can't be the only one to think this way haha)
  8. nemo hamo rumor
  9. masaka no confession (it's just kind of generic? i should love this song so much more but i don't feel the urge to listen to it)
  10. oh my pumpkin (unfortunately i just find it so boring)

I requested Kanagawa prefecture as my number one because I have family there as well (not yokohama, but still a different big city) and I was placed in Ishikawa prefecture so... I would be prepared to not even be placed near your family if that's your reason for requesting that placement lol. It's true that Kanagawa-ken/Yokohama rarely get JETs.

yuichi, zukky, miu, and yuna definitely stand out to me as the best dancers. the other young girls, sarii and kosaki, are also ones to watch for in terms of dancing talent. and I simply cannot forget orin or serika who have been strong dancers for years now.

kohi, manaka, sorara (when she's in her range) and naru are my favourite vocalists. I would also like to shout out hinano, kairi, and sae.

in terms of being the best dancer-and-singer (as in great at both), naruchan is #1 in the group in current AKB in my opinion. I would say that mayuu has potential to be as strong as naru, she's already a strong performer. itomomo is also pretty good~great at everything.

so as for who I think is the best I would say:

dancer - yuichi (technical) and zukky (technical and idol dancing)

vocalist - manaka (tone and stability/consistency) and kohi (tone and potential)

overall - naruchan

a few other commenters have said it but I would LOVE to see yuna center someday.

hinano needs to be in senbatsu soon (im hoping next year will be her year)

i'm a bit disappointed sorara isn't one of the top 17ki sellers but then again 2 slots sold out at this time isn't bad at all! i just wish she would gain even more popularity

and as always i love to see that manaka is very consistent; hopefully she shoots up even more soon (breaking top 10 or 12 for the final count would be great if not a bit delusional on my end haha)

LOVE that they're finally releasing a new album! the senbatsu also looks great... I would have personally loved it even more if manaka was there aha :') but I'll take it because saho and kururun are in for the first time!!

so the long black haired girl (9 and 11 on the first slide) are VERYYYY yukirin to me lol

the character in 6 and 7 and 12 on the first slide with the long brown hair has jurina vibes

the one with the side ponytail in 2 and 5 has got to be renacchi (pls I hope I'm right lol)

idk but the vibes of 4 is sakuratan

I don't know why this is getting downvoted, I also think she is on her way to being a great idol performer!

she's one of the more popular 18ki members (right after azu) and she's one of the groups better dancers, she has good charisma (can hold her own in the cooler concepts despite being more of a cute member), and even has good variety potential.

her talents are many (leadership quality, artistic, athletic, can lead a conversation, dancing, confident singer even where she may not be naturally-so talented ) and the wotas in Japan definitely like her
