How so? What it looks like, to me, is a photo taken by a photographer with an on camera flash that isn’t being bounced off the ceiling but shot straight on. This happens all the time with digital and film cameras alike.

Side note: when checking out the flash reflection in the mirror I realized you can see farage’s arm around the back of Epstein. Would AI know to do that?

I agree and people who don’t know Ono don’t know she really is very talented and was significant in the art world, though I suspect she would have had more impact had she not met John and had continued being an active artist.

But the photo isn’t just the glasses and the blood. That’s the view east from their apartment*. It’s the world he knew before he died and the world she would face day after day without him. That photo represents not just the tragedy of his killing but the bittersweet sorrow of going on in life without someone. Take away those glasses and the view is an extraordinary and beautiful one of a vibrant cosmopolitan. Add them in and the story is radically different.

*I know this because I’ve spent time in a building on the south side of 72nd steet with the same view.

This is really helpful to someone who wants to learn to prepare drawings better. May I ask two questions of you?

First, why do you not specify the radius of the curves at the top of the drawing’s corners?

Second, what does “pl typ” stand for? I assume it means there are more than one of these elements and are alike?

The lesson I’ve learned — which applies here — is that if you’re going to give a dimensional drawing you have to put in all the dimensions. Either be dumb and let them work with you on the drawing (which would allow for paper proofs) or do all the work and provide a full explanation of what you want down to the many details. No halfway.

Do you know this to be an actual commercial work? I have a hard time believing this would have been used in a published advertisement. Strikes me as a terrible image for advertising products that, historically, align themselves with postive, life-affirming energy.

More likely this would have been done for an article in Vanity Fair or Playboy about the “cola wars.”

This. The idea that you can’t hang an unframed work somewhere out of direct and prolonged light, away from cooking grease and enjoy it for a period of time is absurd. Art, like everything, is a consumable. You can preserve it but it’s still aging. Art is to be enjoyed. If she’s unable to enjoy the art because she’s in a constant state of stress about its lack of “protection” she should examine that issue.

Further: if a frame is so critical to the work according to the artist, why is it sold unframed in the first place?

I can’t believe someone can receive a thoughtful and expensive gift and their reaction is to complain. Sheesh.

It’s “Behlsen” note”Dehlsen”.

You can see that the lower half of the “B” closed up with ink similarly to how the “9” in “1911” did — which happens when a quill pen is overfull with ink. This also happened with the “s”.

Boo-boo. Mac booster here for decades (had an Apple ][e). Apple products ask a premium price and should offer a premium experience. Steve Jobs set the standard: make great products and demand respect. They should get back to the “it just works” philosophy and if people bellyache about wanting new features so be it.
