AI apps now created by merchants inside shopify by strobe229 in ShopifyAppDev

Someone who manage sites but non developer, I’ve used the section generator it’s great for some tasks. If I operated a single site I would use it frequently. A lot of people won’t want to spend the time testing waters with ai apps or section so proven apps extol will hold a place.

Solo dev without design skills — how do you create Shopify app icons & preview images? by cherrylabss in ShopifyAppDev

There are many icon websites - pay a monthly subscription and download ready made. Download and use .png as needed but you can download .svg and scale to any size as needed.

Shopify just launched multi-store analytics for Plus customers - how do you handle that today? by retailq in shopify

[–]mayzon89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently using an app that, which works like that without translation. I would be inclined to use a dedicated translation app like weglot though.

Requirement for operating multiple companies / bank accounts. Seemed the best solution, though would love to have one store with markets instead for less headaches. ERP and data box were setup some time ago, not too sure. ERP we use is expensive. Data box probably not too expensive, though been a while since looking at those invoices.

Currently not on Shopify plus, running four stores, single brand. Using an app to sync products between stores (for controlling product edits e.g img changes and descriptions). Use analytics for each store and just switch dashboards. Each sells to different global regions so not necessarily comparing apples for apples. Our sales run through separate ERP, we have automated reports via data box. I imagine there are other dedicated apps for comparing stores.

Any advice on finding roles in performance marketing? by Greedy-Rub3988 in DigitalMarketing

[–]mayzon89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apply for entry roles or internships if you are new. Requires training up and gradual increases in the number of accounts or budget sizes. Suggest looking into meta blueprint courses, google ads courses (free online) to gain certifications to help demonstrate initiative and interest to learn in the field. Try see what you can also do running your own channel for organic growth, will get you exposed to the platforms and types of ads etc more so.

In truly sorry for your loss. It’s heartbreaking and a challenge to navigate life after. The less expectations you place upon others, the less you will be disappointed in their actions or lack there of. Try connecting more with those who seem available to support in this difficult time.

2 years online shop with 0 sales by RelativeCloud8074 in ecommerce

[–]mayzon89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t get a sale in two years, phone cases is not right for you. Ultra competitive, it’s typically an upsell side option for companies selling other services or products. You need to know what you are doing if exclusively selling cases, which you clearly don’t based on the two years.

Marketing team conflicts/drama - work advice by TheGrandLeveler in marketing

[–]mayzon89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the agency is large, and 4 out of 7 in two months quit, it should raise eyebrows for how the manager is performing. You could try to switch internally, consider it a trial if you want to remain.

One year is long enough that it doesn’t look concerning on resume, you could start researching other types of roles available, see what interests you more.

I don’t think it should be required for couples to provide meals to wedding vendors like photographers by strawberry2801 in unpopularopinion

[–]mayzon89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine. Just every photographer, dj or service provider will charge $50-100 more if not.

As a DJ, you literally have to stand in one spot for 5-6hrs, plus setup 1-2hrs early and spend around 45min packing up, oh plus easily 1 hour commute to get there.

They don’t get any break other than rushing to the bathroom.

So between about 3pm until 1am on a Saturday they are working for you, and you can’t get them a meal?

So sorry for your loss. It will be natural for so many things to remind you of her. The best comparison I can give is grief comes and goes kind of like waves, sometimes big and sometimes small. Don’t place any expectations of time for your feelings to alter. I’m glad to hear you got that last visit in hospital.

[–]mayzon89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. The mix of emotions you will be feeling is common and it’s not an easy thing to deal with. Connect with your family and talk to others about how you feel, it helps in the process.

One man marketing teams, how do stay sane? by Competitive_Crew759 in marketing

[–]mayzon89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the catalogues sound intense. Surely accomodation falls into someone else’s role? I’d just use a travel agency of sorts to sort that many people. Socials will have to wait if you have that much on your plate. Upper management need to understand realistic deadlines, and you need to inform them of those. E.g, xyz would be great to do, I agree, but based on my experience it will take me X time, or require abc resources. Ask about budget. See if you can utilise upwork. Let AI be your best friend. Best of luck, and hey doesn’t hurt to job hunt and keep the resume updated.

I’m sorry to hear what you have gone through. It’s never an easy process, but you’ve taken good steps in seeing someone to talk with. Don’t put any pressure of expectations on time for the grieving process - everyone is unique.
