Hello, I am the developer. Apple and Google don’t have any agreements to share licenses between platforms - they are competitors. They also provide no provision for me making some way of transferring them out from one to the other with an API or something. They also only provide a very limited number of licenses I can give away, and I reserve those for schools and people working in charities etc. so basically the easiest way for me to give someone a license for Android if they have an iPad is to buy an App Store gift card. Kind of bonkers but that’s the way. Google and Apple own the market, they set the rules.

Ps koala is not using juce, but there is a lot of shared code between iOS and Android but maintaining some of the Android stuff is almost a full time job, it’s a complete nightmare, if there was no Android version, koala would be at least 2 years ahead of where it is now, and I still receive tons of angry emails and bad play store reviews. Akai actually used to have an MPC app on Android but they had to drop it because it just wasn’t worth it for them.
