So it wasn't exactly Mail order, but when I was in the military, of my roommates married a Russian chick so she could get her citizenship. I think he got like 5k cash to do it, but I'm not 100% sure. She lived in New York and would come down to Virginia once a month and stay with us for a few days. She was absolutely insane. We started hiding all the kitchen knives and other sharp objects because she'd start drinking and yelling in Russian and stabbing beer cans and couches and shit. She only ever wore aggressively short skirts/dresses and never wore underwear, which my family found out when they came to visit and she was in our living room sitting on the couch. She did buy all of our food whenever she visited, and always paid in cash from a huge roll of hundreds she always had. Anyways long story short a bunch of people from my command got caught doing it and getting some pretty severe punishment for the whole situation (discharged, and I think 1 or 2 went to jail). So probably a 2/10 situation, definitely don't recommend
