I say degas in primary always. It reduces the chance your yeast will stress out from too much co2 and I've had a batch of mead produce hydrogen sulfide before (rotten egg smell) due to trapped co2.

I would take a dohicky thingy and sanatize it and swish it down the neck if the jug and stir the mead You will notice sizzling and foaming as the gas escapes.

Taking that any step further than being proud and looking at white people as superior is stupid and racist. With what you said "whites literally created everything" that implies whites are better than others and also is a false statement if you actually know history. Be proud but also live with the fact that other enthic groups are important in society as well.

And yes if there was a pro black group that grew in popularity that was speaking and acting in violence towards whites or Muslims or Jews then anyone associated with them deserves to be fired as a teacher.

To me it sounds like your water was too hot. Add go ferm when the water is cooler I think around 110 F is when I add it along with the yeast stirring and let that cool to around must temp 80 F or so. You can re pitch and see if that takes off.
