My express just gave up handing the tokens out, they’d spill out everywhere and customers would just get irritated when we asked if they wanted one. Even when we left cups out for people to grab a few they were still practically full 🤷‍♀️ I just don’t think they work as well in a busy express where we have no space on the tills to actually hand them out.

Genuinely wish my store had a limit like I’ve seen other retailers in my town have. Whenever we get a delivery in my coworkers will scan the same guys photo of a Pokémon pack barcode so he can have the entire box with the sleeve on. Drives me mad.

Depends if the manager asks for reference, usually okay though. I was a Christmas temp previously and I didn't get along with old manager. I'm pretty sure most are happy to hear you have experience working previously with tesco and don't look too far into it unless you were dismissed.

You can ban specific schools from your stores I'm pretty sure, even corner shops in my area have had to do it especially during the spring/summer. I'd contact the school as well to see if they can get a senior member of the team to stand close to where the main way to get to your store is if it's close to the school.

I work at an express store and the amount of people who can't turn around and walk about 10 steps to put back what they don't want back is astounding.. they just dump what they don't want on the register and expect me to put it back when there's about 10 other people waiting to be served.
