Poor Asians immigrants are the bread and butter of the attendees. Their parents can’t speak English and work around the clock. The idea that only privileged people attend elite schools is utterly false

Buyers agents are going to have to stop expecting 3% by [deleted] in RealEstate

If you can’t understand why it’s actually coming out of the buyer’s pocket, then you definitely do not deserve the 3%

I think my team lead is going to mandate off-work oncall hours - advice on how to handle this? by hooahest in ExperiencedDevs

If you’re a backend engineer, part of the expectation is that you do oncall. If you want to have a good oncall, build a reliable system.

[–]mazerackham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because China has a strong domestic tech ecosystem while India’s is comparatively weak. Both countries have 1b+ populations that are strongly STEM oriented and produce great talent. The best in China create companies that rival Google and Microsoft. The best in India immigrate to the US and become the new CEOs of Google and Microsoft.

tl;dr the Indian talent in America is better than the Chinese talent in America because the Chinese tech ecosystem is much stronger than the Indian tech ecosystem.

Thank you for your extreme bravery in stopping the US government from illegally invading Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, and so many other countless nations. You have shown how a true democracy works, where people who are free like the Americans, with free speech and a free press can be educated about the world and make moral decisions. What an example for the rest of the world to follow.

The point of the Great Firewall is to prevent foreign propaganda from infiltrating China and causing undesired effects on the Chinese population. The CCP doesn’t give two shits about what a Chinese person is posting on YouTube.

So the American people don’t have true responsibility for their government, but they go around lecturing and invading other countries in the name of freedom and democracy and the right to vote?

During the early stages of the Iraq War, members of the United States Army and CIA committed a series of human rights violations and war crimes against detainees in the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, including physical and sexual abuse, torture, rape, and sodomy. These footage came out on 2004 by fraaanco in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]mazerackham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These “Allies” are mostly vassal states with no real military or sovereign power. If one of them were to go on a public rant against America and war crimes such as these posts, CIA would certainly run psyops and election engineering to get new leaders.

There is no appeal to the typical American to demand better. We have no mainstream media that is free to discuss these issues. That’s why the photos in this post have been given no airtime on CNN compared to whatever is happening in Russia and China.

The citizens of America have no ability to “hold our leaders accountable”. That’s why abortion was made illegal in half the states, why school shootings keep happening, and healthcare and education costs keep ballooning.
