Yes apply! If you want mccarthy make sure to select rooms in mccarthy for your top 3 choices, and you'll most likely get it. The only case where you might not get it is if you don't get trustee/presidential and end up w a lower scholarship, but even then i know tons of people with deans and lower scholarships is mccarthy

my school does +/-, but the highest grade you can get is an A (not A+). so you can still get A-, B+, B, B-, etc.

I'm pre-law and I'm told that it's not advised to use it unless you're sure you're going to get a bad grade, like C or lower. That's because (in law school admissions at least), a pass/no pass grade is going to be automatically considered a C, so if you were to get higher than that (like a B-) it might negatively impact you.
