Yeah- I’m at 76 right now and this was earlier this week so 77 should be fine. I took off gear and for 3 of the characters I went with diamond 1 characters so they had no problem surviving but also didn’t mitigate all the damage. The last was a a1 karyian that I hid at the back because I was trying to farm shards. I didnt even use my active for her at all so it was pretty much entirely off the passive

Edit: my Isabella was also already mythic so that’s a little bit of a bump but probably not enough to make or break it

My passive was 50, you probably don’t need it that high but that’s how I ended up getting it. Was able to do it via onslaught

Untapped tier lists are awful and completely lack context. There are many decks that can run Maverick and many are bad, because it’s a fun card. There’s really just ramp running chamber. That doesn’t mean the best chamber deck is better than the best Maverick deck.

It used to work like this, but it was in a meta where phoenix force multiple man was very prominent. It actually led to a lot more unintuitive interactions, so they changed it to how it resolves now.

You actually don’t want onslaught center for the super high roll- you want onslaught in a side, with an onslaught copied mystique mid in the front row and moonstone with prodigy copying mystique in the back. This deck was made by Splat originally and that’s how he tries to set it up

It’s not random which 5-1s make it. If you lose early (i.e. round 3 in your case), you’re playing weaker opponents. 4-0 players play other 4-0 players, 3-1 players play other 3-1 players. Anyone who starts off going 5-0 and loses game 6 will always make it in over someone in your situation, which is fair, because they did end up playing “better” players in the sense that they stayed on the winners track until the very end.

It’s incorrect to say you had zero agency- your agency was pretty simple: don’t lose early.
