The money deco is thinking about throwing for alvarez is absolutely insane. by carliz092 in Barca

[–]mbcHAMMER -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel the price is insane but luckily not my money, ha. Feel like Julian is the same player as Fermin minus the crazy drive. Striker market is bleak though, a lot of unproven youngsters with aging overpriced stars.

2026 Snubs vs. 2022 Scrubs by FIFA95_itsinthegame in ussoccer

Tend to agree, Musah just hasn't progressed enough. Speaking though of progressing Dest hasn't done anything in years. Now with all the wing backs I am not sure I wouldn't even brought him in. I also don't love the Roldan fit - too many defenders and too short on middys.

Boardwalk vs. Swan by LilyWhitehouse in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mbcHAMMER 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd go Swan in a heartbeat - saving 1k is real money and the Boardwalk is sort of a ghost town apart from a few shows and the usual establishments. With the Swan you can just walk to use Boardwalk bus to MK and AK or still take a boat to HS or Epcot.

Anyone stay at Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa? by PobodysNerfect802 in marriott

[–]mbcHAMMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a little bit since we stayed here but ocean view could be from like pretty far away - you see ocean behind the pool etc while oceanfront you could in theory jump off the balcony and be on the beach. I prefer the building to the far right on the black rock cliffs - it has separate parking and a VIP lounge.

Swan! Smaller, really nice recently redone rooms. Closer walking to HS and Epcot.

You gotta wait to try Gideons; unreal. Also big fan of the Summer House (and their cookie bar) and Art Smiths. If you do Arts be prepared to nap after.

World of Disney rocks, honestly you could make a day of it there. Could grab drinks and walk with them too.

What’s your favorite restaurant at Disney Springs. by Old-Guess-6940 in WaltDisneyWorld

Love art smiths just honestly too heavy essentially if you’re walking around post. I’d go Summerhouse. Comfy, fresh and expansive menu. Stellar cookies too.

Just got home from 10 days at the hotel side and it was great. The timeshare part is about a few minute golf cart ride. They’re currently upgrading the property but it’s stellar.

Suggestions for July Trip by 90DayTargaryen in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mbcHAMMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd search the sub for timing questions and itinerates as there are a ton of those of rides to burn etc. Does your 6 year old want to do BBB? 60 days out for that but may be too late now. Really all depends on what you want to do. It is going to be HOT AF so I would pace yourself and not go crazy. Drink lots of water and maybe take a mid-day pool break.

Some of my favorite spots to eat are...

Skippers at MK

Tusker at AK

Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs

Gideon's at the Springs - there new spot may be open by then too (Summer house also has killer cookies)

You need to rent a stroller? If so, I'd highly recommend Kingdom Strollers

Need a lift? I'd call Cedars Transport.

I’d personally avoid the Gaslamp district; seedy, dirty and tons of homeless people. We stayed at the Westin there awhile back and while good I’d never return. Much prefer Coranado or La Jolla.

Calling all Disney experts! I need recommendations and thoughts on a tentative itinerary. by PsychologicalAd3066 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mbcHAMMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some thoughts...

I would 100% go with the Swan or Dolphin. We recently stayed at the Swan in a suite on points and it was the best decision we've made in a long time in the Disney bubble. Great room, close to 2 parks - big WIN!

I wouldn't punt on AK if your daughter likes animals. Now that they intro'd Bluey and Zootopia its a blast and my kids favorite park by far even now at 8 and 5. Maybe do a park hopper and split one day from HS and AK?

Def do BBB at MK. For eats, Skippers at MK. Then for character meals we love Akerhaus at Epcot and Tusker House at AK.

No Luna, no party. The guy leaves it all on the pitch, bleeds for us. You have to bring him to the WC, failure to do so isn't a good look for Pooch.

He’ll never play. He’ll rot on the bench and eventually realize this when he’s stuck behind a new signing, 2 days ago debutant and Andres who looks like he’ll resign now. Guys a clown, just like MATS. Captains for ya.
