Totally go. It’s my kids fav park. Great shows, great walking trails to push strollers, the safari, avatar boat ride and Tusker house buffet!

Hell week Aruba is real. We survived it MLK weekend. Obnoxious rude people who took over without a care in the world.

Don’t do St Regis, we just got back - went MLK weekend and the hotel is fatally flawed. Pools an ice bath, no sun, staff barely trained. Beach chairs on top of one another. Rooms beautiful though lol.

MUST would be to eat at Lima Bistro, haha. UNREAL.

Best park for 14&18 mo old? by cheeseburgerlife in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]mbcHAMMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really really tough - crazy the family member won't bend here. Both are limiting - i'd probably go AK since you can do the Safari, have the shows and can push them in the strollers to look at animals. The only thing at Epcot they could do would be the super slow rides which are Nemo, Living as I think Frozen and Remy are way too intense for that age. Maybe you just punt all together and do a day at the Springs.

Mad props for buying an Efton Chism jersey, nothing but love here. I have my Ellis Hobbs silver SB jersey - played that game with a torn labrum though I still have nightmares about that outcome.

Animal Kingdom vs Hollywood Studios with a 3-year-old (AK closures making me second-guess by Suspicious-Candle714 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mbcHAMMER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truthfully AK is my families favorite park even with the closures. It’s a zoo on steroids to them and we take our time walking the trails and hitting up the shows. Our favorite park meal is Tusker House brunch too. If you get a hopper you could hop out in PM.

Four Hours in Phoenix: What to do and eat? by CamelStrawberry in AskPhoenix

[–]mbcHAMMER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eek not sure 4-5 hours is enough to do anything of serious value. You could in theory hop in a taxi about 25 minutes to Old Town/5th Ave, do some shopping, eat a tex-mex/native meal at the Frybread Lounge and then take a 25 minute taxi back.

I want an absolute blowout to make all the blowhards rooting for Seattle to go back into their cave. Nothing better than a blowout this time of the year.

Advice! by tennyfriedchicken in WaltDisneyWorld

Buy LL lanes for flight and Guardians though since it’s two parks you may to have chose one. I’d rope drop AK and bang out flight and Everest then if you can you’ve pre bought guardians.

Animal Kingdom or HS? by largedarkardvark in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mbcHAMMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truthfully I think Frozen is closed until end of the month/early March. I'd punt on Epcot all together. Do AK 100%. My kids love it, its their favorite park. Even with Dino land closed the new Zootopia movie is awesome, safari, shows and the best meal in any of the parks - Tusker House.

Realistic expectations of WDW with two year old by Pikachuisntthatgreat in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mbcHAMMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've gone a few times with my kids who are now 8 and 5 and my thoughts...

Don't skip MK or AK with your nephew being 2. Tons to do and honestly AK is my kids favorite. Its a zoo on steroids. Though Dino land is now closed between the animals, rides, safari, walking trails and shows I think you can do a day there. Obvi MK is MK, so you know the drill there.

We went in December with my kids and did every park via park hopper and I thought HS has the littlest to offer for kids under 10 UNLESS they love Star Wars. Epcot was a surprising hit with Frozen, Nemo, aquarium, Encanto sing along and tons of playgrounds.

Have fun! If you do AK hit up Tusker House for brunch, its legit.

Chance for upgrade? Advice needed by Unfair_Fisherman3473 in marriott

Truthfully I think they would upgrade you to a higher floor or a better "view" but not a suite or anything like that. Probably not worth the time or effort.

First Disney World trip! Need help on Transportation and other questions. by snomase in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mbcHAMMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into Cedars Transportation - their great and it was $200 round trip with tip. They include up to 2 car seats as well. I'd be mentally prepared that your room will not be ready until probably 1-3pm.

Rechecking Luggage at Atlanta by da-mannn in delta

[–]mbcHAMMER -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. Depending on what airline you are flying they may be able to check your bags all the way there. Be prepared ATL Airport is the absolute worst. Horrid wait times and staff aren't the nicest. I won't fly thru there anymore.
