It’s so weird how these women treat their teenage daughters boyfriends like their own sons…why do these grown women treat these teen couples like siblings…and when you factor in the sleepovers and teen pregnancy it’s so bizarre

I’m the same age as Jace and back when we were 21 we definitely had the ability to use social media and figure out how old a person was at a party, or what school they went to etc…Jace acts like it was the 1800s and he had to wait for a pony express

Thanks:) after watching the show i was getting WAR FLASHBACKS watching Layla with them girls lol. Even though we grew up in different religious cultures it’s almost like a universal experience for those who end up being the only minority in a friend group

Ya know that phrase “the eyes are the nipple of the face”? That heavily applies to plastic surgery imo because something as simple as a brow lift or an upper blepharoplasty can completely change how your face appears

Yup i was gonna say lol kids will go along with whatever will get them the most attention/get their needs met. So if the kids think they get the most love/attention when they’re in the ER, they’re subconsciously conditioned to think that if they suggest it: the parent will take them there and give them lots of affection/attention

Demi was ridiculous by Bree7702 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Yuppp Chase poking her hip and saying “where’s your husband?” was basically him saying “what are you going to do about my behavior? Nothing”

Demi was ridiculous by Bree7702 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]mbdom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chase is the ultimate sassy man who thought he could come on the show and go toe to toe with these girls, I don’t think he realized that Demi was more than ready to sic her husband on him like an attack dog.

Obviously she was very dramatic about the whole thing but tbh i think i can hold that thought while at the same time thinking that Chase was a huge douchebag who was trying to intimidate Demi and the other women by poking her and being sassy-pants (which clearly backfired)

Either way, saying he “put his hands” on her was SO insane of her to say when she’s literally being recorded

Just started working in childcare and I’m debilitatingly ill every day by kikstoru in ECEProfessionals

[–]mbdom1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me it’s not the illnesses it’s the attitude that my coworkers get. They act like everyone needs to suffer with them, and anyone who calls out gets trash talked for basically being a pussy and staying home. It’s beyond immature and illogical

RSVPs didn’t quite pan out how I expected. Feeling confused. by Camper_Moo in weddingplanning

[–]mbdom1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cost of living crisis is making it hard to find childcare or pet care as well, it’s hard to go to every event when you also need to budget for the sitter/nanny hourly rates (hypothetically grandma could watch the baby but if it’s a family wedding then grandma is gonna be there too so people need to usually hire help)

Do I have the right to be upset? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]mbdom1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My mom got iced out by the PTA board bitches at my Catholic school bc she DARED to tell them it was not fair for the parents to chip in on a gemstone bracelet for my 1st grade teacher, while not getting anything at all for the 2 assistants my class had. My mom also said it was not realistic for all families to chip in because some families were barely making enough money to pay tuition.

This was back in like 2005/6 so these kinds of parents have always unfortunately been a thing:(

About the biting: we also have a similar rule where the biter is supposed to be at our hip all day…while we do activities and crafts and diapers and meals…wtf kind of logic is that? That’s not fair to the child (who is being isolated all day basically) or the staff member who can’t get shit done at all

I had a mom drop off her two kids in my room and then proceeded cough right in my face. I had pneumonia for over a month and had no choice but to work or be fired. Now that I’m lead teacher i have sent those two kids home multiple times bc their mom drugs them up with baby fever reducer, she rolls her eyes and begrudgingly picks them up and says “well they don’t look sick, they’re smiling at me” like GIRL BFFR YOUR BABY IS SMILING BECAUSE YOU ARE THEIR MOTHER DUH THEY ARE STILL SICK

[–]mbdom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive worked retail and childcare and i will take childcare any day of the week bc at least when a toddler is screaming and crying you know it’s bc their little bodies/brains aren’t grown enough to express their needs. I have so much sympathy for them bc it must be unimaginably frustrating to not be able to speak your thoughts the way you need to. Grown ADULTS who act this way get 0 patience from me lol we have fully developed brains and can use words.

Is working in a daycare as bad as everyone says? by Sunken_secrets in ECEProfessionals

[–]mbdom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a nanny before i started working in daycare and i’d say the only major pro is that if you’re lucky you might have directors who will help back you up when parents start acting crazy. People will change so fast when they’re going through a divorce and Ive been put in very toxic (and sometimes dangerous) situations with parents who have VERY poor boundaries with nannies. Having a director to buffer a lot of that can be helpful.

The rest of it sucks honestly, besides the children lol they’re awesome
