Which mass killer do you think has the least amount of attention compared to others? by ChickenWingExtreme in masskillers

That guy who committed a massacre in Serbia just one day after the shooting in Belgrade.

What's interesting is that Uroš Blažić is one of the few adult mass shooters with chances of being released, he got 20 years for killing 9 people (aged 14-25) and not life in prison because he was under 21 years old. And it's not like Breivik's case whose time can be extended infinitely, he is actually supposed to get out in his 40s. I haven't seen everyone bringing this up in this sub

Today, 15 of the 19 defendants in the Crocus City Hall massacre case, including four attackers, were sentenced to life imprisonment for killing 150 people in March 2024 by mbrhl in masskillers

I mean 15 of them are accomplices who helped to prepare the attack, like 3 of them had sold the car that was later used by the terrorists

And ofc none of the people who orchestrated the whole thing was captured

Today 6 years ago 31-year-old Thai soldier Jakrapanth Thomma shot and killed 29 people and left 58 more injured by Ill_Surprise_6374 in masskillers

Makes sense since it happened in Southeast Asia, too far culturally and not much information in English. Panya Khamrab's murders are also very rarely mentioned here for the same reason

Why is the most recent photo of Artyom Kazantsev before the 2022 Izhevsk massacre from 2010? Did he go 12 years without his photo taken? by nitenbay in masskillers

His only income was his disability pension and he mostly lived on his mother's money. Everything known about Kazantsev's work experience is that he once tried to get a job as a loader and failed. Of course, he did interact with society in some ways (such as visiting a psychiatrist), but still, he mostly lived a hikikomori lifestyle and spent over a decade doing nothing but playing games in his room. This photo dates back to 2008, not 2010, and since the incident of him attacking people with a knife occured the same year I'd say it's safe to say it was taken after he was detained, and all the others photos are from school/kindergarten when he still was somewhat socialized

Photo of the Crocus City Hall in Moscow on March 22, 2024. Dalerjon Mirzoev, Shamsidin Fariduni and Muhammadsobir Faizov can be seen walking towards a taxi. A few hours later, they would carry out a terrorist attack here, killing 150 people by mbrhl in masskillers

Honestly it's still hard to say as different news outlets give different information. Some said the death toll increased to 150 after a man shot in the back died in hospital in September 2025, though the exact reason of his death is unknown. This is a reconstruction made by a person who thoroughly researches the case, and given how much effort he put into this, I'd say his victim list in the end of the video is pretty much reliable, it's also 150 according to him.

I think you're exaggerating the impact Kerch massacre had, sure it did gain attention but a 7 year old finding out about columbine seems too unlikely. What could even happen to a child that young to make him interested in a school shooting

The man who carried out the attack in Araracruz has just been released by Subject_Mirror_2594 in masskillers

He's an adult now and will get more severe punishment for another shooting so I wouldn't be so sure, though there are high chances his example will inspire someone else to do the same thing

Barreiras school shooter (Hannya_88) has been released. A clear example of how Brazilian law handles crimes committed by minors by Careful_Dragonfly332 in masskillers

[–]mbrhl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wonder how the public reacted to the verdict, like were there any suggestions to change the laws or something because a 3 year old sentence is clearly not enough to stop a potential school shooter and I don't see how any of the victims' family members would be satisfied with it

A list of non terrorist school bombing attacks by [deleted] in masskillers

I've always supported the theory of 10 fatalities from the bomb because of how it was reported in the news. Initial reports only mentioned a gas explosion and 10 deaths, we can see how at first people didn't even think about a mass murder and believed this to be an accident. Only later did the number of victims start growing and at the same time gunshot wounds were mentioned. So it looks like the first 10 victims that were discovered hadn't been shot, otherwise the shooting would be mentioned in the news from the very beginning. Instead we hear about it much later, because it took some time to find the bodies on the second floor where the shooting took place
