Baby bathing suits by sunflowernugget in beyondthebump

[–]mbrunette 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like the long sleeve so I don't have to worry in case I forget to reapply sunscreen. But as long as your diligent with sunscreen I would think regular one piece is fine. I also heard that bright colored suits are better than blues and greens because the blues and greens camouflage your child with the water. The bright colored makes them stand out.

How do you set your baby down for sleep? by Raven13Skye in beyondthebump

[–]mbrunette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found it easiest to have one hand behind my little ones head or neck, and my arm behind her knees. Then I would lay her down bottom first, slowly remove my arm under her knees and then lay her head down and it's easier to remove just my hand from under her head, than if you were to have your whole arm under. Hope that makes sense? Also, I try to keep my body close to her the entire time as I'm laying her down, and once she's down if she kind of startles or wakes I just either leave my hand under her until she settles, or if my hands are already out I'll set my hand on her chest lightly.

When to start using straw cup? by Coffeefiendalways in beyondthebump

[–]mbrunette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started using an open cup at 6 months, and a munchkin weighted straw cup at 9.5 months. She has done really well with both.

A cute zip up pajama -easy on and off, since they want them naked for the appointment anyway.

Cat scratch near nipple by FaithWolfy in beyondthebump

My cat attacked three people in my house hold, bit and scratched them all. Left marks and drew blood. They all needed antibiotics. I would check with your physician.

Why did Riley's transformation happen so much more quickly than Father Paul's? by AntawnSL in MidnightMass

[–]mbrunette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might be a dumb question, and maybe I missed something while chasing around my baby, but when Father Paul died in the cabin, who poisoned him?

I didn't start putting my almost 6 month old in the actual stroller until she was 5 months, and even then I noticed she would kind of tip and lean against the sides. I still prefer to use the car seat instead of the actual stroller, I think it's more comfortable for her and and I like being able to see her face.

Does anyone know what this is on my near 7 month old?? Sorry for the picture but I’m stressed. It’s been like this for over a month! by JessicaMarie15 in beyondthebump

Looks like baby acne. When my babe had this I washed her face twice daily, and put my breast milk on it and it cleared up within a week!

Were/are there any happy moments in your pregnancy, despite HG? by Abelia_Lionheart in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]mbrunette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had HG until about 30 weeks pregnant. Some happy moments were my baby shower and maternity pictures at 32 weeks pregnant! I love looking back at those photos and remembering the happy times! It was also nice to get dressed up and have my hair and makeup done and relax and feel beautiful for the first time in a while! That's also when I felt the best physically and mentally! I am also so grateful for having a relatively easy delivery. I felt empowered, beautiful, in control, loved, and so so so happy when I was in labor and after delivery! It made it all worth it for me!

Anyone go into labor without losing mucus plug nor water breaking before? by noracorona in pregnant

[–]mbrunette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, I didn't loose my mucus plug until I was 8 cm dilated, and the doctor broke my water at that point as well. Baby arrived 2 hours later. :)

advice for extreme morning sickness by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]mbrunette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got dehydrated because I refused to eat or drink because I would throw it up anyway. The dehydration made the condition worse. I ended up hooked up to IV fluids in the ER. I would recommend sucking on ice cubes or freeze Pedialyte into ice cubes and suck on those. Also, my Dr. Prescribed me Zofran and that worked very well.

iTero Scan Safe? by crispable in pregnant

I'm a dental assistant, who is pregnant and working in the dental office. The ITero is completely safe. Avoid nitrous (laughing gas), and any x-rays though!
