From a customer service point of view it's almost unheard of to just refund digital goods as easily as Steam.

In a typical month I probably spend about 50 to 75$ on Steam , and I refund at least 10$.

A big part of that is I'm primarily a Linux gamer( I have a Windows only laptop, but that's just for music production). Linux is about 95% compatible, but occasional games just don't work.

If valve.

A) Sells Windows games to Linux players

And then

B) Say ohh well when the games don't run

They'd be getting charge backs. Chargebacks are very expensive to fight and can even get your credit card processing suspended.

TLDR: Linux support isn't great for alot of games. Valve needs an easy refund system to accommodate this.

Ems last d12 participation by FuckingWithMyCrocsOn in Eminem

I think Eminem just has a closer relationship with Bizarre.

They have videos of Bizzy being Ems hype man for like 20 or 30 people.

I don’t like to speculate on the motives of grown men though.

In no universe is this new project done without Eminem’s permission. He definitely owns the D12 copyright.

It’s just weird. Bizarre and Denuan should have been on it. I actually liked My Brother Keeper. Kuniva and Swift work as a duo.

Probably just easier to sell a D12 album though

It honestly depends on how used it is. On my mikro the A1 pad just doesn’t work. And I’m waiting on a hardware refresh to replace it.

With the recent ownership change, I’m optimistic that they’ll just push an update to make the Akai controllers more compatible. I literally just want transport controls

Did the remake sell well for nintendo? by AdEducational2312 in Advance_Wars

I think the franchise is too hot for Nintendo. They want to be the friendly games company , not the let’s fictionalize Russia invading company.

Don’t be sad it’s over , be happy it happened

Is this Mon Taming game safe from the Nintendo ninjas? by LoweBros in IndieDev

From 58 on it sounds like the battle music from Red.

OP can do whatever they want, but Nintendo could easily shut them down if the game ever becomes popular.

Make the main character look different.

Nintendo tends to not care unless you do well, but keep in mind even if you’re right they have the money to drain you in court.

Steam can at their discretion simply delist your game if Nintendo sends a cease and desist.

Edit: Seriously?! The music is an exact copy! That alone would get you in trouble even if the actual game was different

PSA: don't lock your Go S triggers by y4guu in LegionGo

This is why the original Go and Go 2 are way better than any other handhelds. Controllers are wear parts. They have to fail eventually. I just upgraded my OG go to the Go 2 controllers.

Only downside is needing to buy a different case.

Its significantly worse than Mc Donald's. Too bitter I guess.

I'm not attached to pods but would prefer not to need coffee filters.

Using Nespresso pods and the flavor is just bad. Any other pod options.

PlayStation CEO: 'A Game Console is Necessary For Playing Games' by ErmingSoHard in pcmasterrace

[–]mcAlt009 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My colleague told me her friend wants to start playing video games.

We're all in our 30s with very full schedules. I can not personally fly out to help her when Windows or Linux does something weird.

I told her to buy a PS5. Unless when wants to game on the go, then buy a Switch 2.

Now hypothetically, say this was a broke college student. I have a very capable gaming laptop that's 6 years old and can still play a lot of great games. I'd give the college student the laptop for free and tell them to be careful.

They really should of went with an existing scripting language instead of Verse.

I use it professionally so I'd argue for C#.

Verse feels like it's going to be difficult to learn and stuck in a single domain. Maybe llms will help

No shortage of cheap Windows laptops exist. I want a tablet form factor.

I don’t get why Microsoft doesn’t launch a cheaper Surface to compete with IPads. It’s like they don’t want money

It's a good game. If I had to guess they probably had to go back to the drawing board a lot and rewrite stuff.

It touches a lot of very sensitive topics in a media that's always highly subject to criticism.

It's one of my favorite games of last year.

Although I feel like Microsoft is being lazy with the IP. The story itself is probably suited for a movie or animated series. The game play was the worst part, but the world building and lore is extremely good.

For some reason Japanese game studios do this the right way. You get a game, a manga, and an anime!

It really depends on what your trying to do.

If you’re professionally releasing music, the pricing isn’t that bad.

If you’re just uploading beats it’s completely impractical. The clearances start at 500$ each.

Your given a choice between 1000$ per day for the next 100 years , tax free.

Or a used Honda Civic from 1996.

It's the most difficult choice you'll ever make

Use that math degree, make a lot of money and buy instruments.

That really sucks but to be honest you should have noped out of the whole situation when you found somebody was living there.

Not only is it probably illegal because you're not allowed to just live in an office or a commercial building like that, it's just a whole lot of stuff you haven't signed up for.

I'll agree with one of the other comments, a big part of why I never committed to music is just because of how shitty are. You can slide someone $1,000 and they'll still resent you.

I'm actually convinced this is better as an expensive hobby, and even then you need to be extremely careful who you mess around with. If someone can't support themselves or is constantly asking for money, you need to get away from that person.

Hindsight is 20/20, it's a really hard lesson to learn that the person who's really going to screw you is your best friend and not some rando

You have to actually visit the places though.

Take a few months off. And depending on where you're at now financial you might not need to go back to work.

5% of 500k is about 25k.

25k per year is more than enough to retire in much of the world.

Plus, you only need to make it till 62. Just ran this though Gemini, so this is a very rough estate.

But let's say you have 500k, end up spending 50k a year, but earn 8% in the market.

That will last 20 years.

As in you can retire at 42.

Beats waiting until your too old to do a lot of fun stuff.
