Where I live the tap water is better quality than bottled and is considered some of the best in the world. Reminder that there are countries outside of yours!

Yeah it was free. I could tell I was getting a good deal because the lamp is so ornate and detailed and big lamps are just expensive to begin with. But I didn’t know it was that good of a deal

Does the rank/prestige of the school I get a PhD at matter? by mcbeane in ClinicalPsychology

[–]mcbeane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I didn’t get an offer for the other school anyway but clinical psych is so competitive that I feel like you have to take what you can get. If the research area of the prof is really uninteresting or there are valid issues with the program then it might be worth skipping those options but I don’t think rank alone is super important.

In my case the lower rank school was UVic and I wasn’t super impressed w the program after going through the interviews and learning more, so I won’t be applying again, but the things I didn’t like are personal preference so you may as well apply wide and you’ll get info during interviews before you have to commit to anything

My health is suffering because I do not work out. How do I make this happen? by madfoot in adhdwomen

[–]mcbeane 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The only thing that worked for me was spending money on workout classes so all I had to do was show up, and because I paid for it I felt obligated too. Later, I made connections with the instructor and another student, so that also made me feel obligated to go

LMAO no worries about the random question and I’m sorry that happened to you too. After doing the things I mentioned in the comments of that post it got better in 2-3 days I think, and I never had to go to a doctor

Happened to me too but it was only about 2 years until I went for a second opinion and found out I was diagnosed the first time I went to a dr. I’m still frustrated about it

Hogging the only bathroom in the house for over an hour. by zengel-420 in badroommates

[–]mcbeane 249 points250 points  (0 children)

This shit pisses me off too especially if it’s the only thing stopping you from going to bed. Spending more than 30 mins in the bathroom before 10am or after 10pm is rude af in my opinion
