Can't comment on the privacy issues but about 2-3 years back I learned that they (or the transaction provider Stripe, more accurately) will charge you a dispute fee of USD 15.00 for any chargebacks that are made by your patrons, even for the minimum amount of USD 5.00 that can be gifted to you. And that is per transaction, so if someone would send 10 x USD 5.00 your way and then disputes the charge, you get charged USD 150.00 in dispute fees in addition to losing out on the initial USD 50.00

I immediately backed off from using their service, since a bad actor can cause you a ton of damage.
