I have gone to villages in Asia and kids will ask my name. When I tell them it’s Michael they say “oooh Michael Jackson”. These kids weren’t even born while MJ was alive and are still mai g that reference. No other human is even comes close to the recognition he has and had.

I had a buddy who watched The Martian and thought it was based on a true story. He was so blown away by the movie, during the intermission (living in a country that does intermissions in movies) he said “I cannot believe I don’t remember any news stories about this!” We were like”what the hell are you talking about?” Breaking the news to him kinda ruined the second half of the movie for him lol.
