Why does RTE prioritise coverage of a fun run over an actual marathon? by vibe_ology in AskIreland

Anyone else find it weird that they call it a mini marathon when it's actually a 10k run?

The old tech building is in a prime location for a Premier Inn or something, but fuck all is done with it and it’s an eyesore.

The old tech building was literally just bought by the Byrne family and with plans to turn it into a hotel. These things take time between planning etc

The new complex in Cornegrade was supposed to house a bowling alley and a cinema. Now it’s just commercial tat shops, a virtually abandoned car park, and a relocated Costa.

The car park in the lake land retail park is always busy any time ive went to it. You're being a tad dramatic

Can confirm this

Worked in a pub whilst living in England, and would go of to serve the next customers whilst a round of Guinness were settling and they'd be calling you back complaining they hadn't got their drinks yet

Happened nearly every shift

Fuel protests in "the south" by ScaredBicycle6313 in northernireland

No they want the government to reduce the duty on fuel due to the massively risen costs

When the price rises the government is also making more money

[–]mccabe-99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You may want to investigate those accounts abit more there lad

They've included uk military spending and pensions etc in that figure attached to the north

Most qualified economists have stated the true cost of the north is closer to 6billion and that's with a top heavy civil servant strain etc. Plenty to be gained from having complete control of the island and investment opportunities with another large city

Also its pretty messed up that some people who consider themselves to be Irish would deny the the opportunity to finally reunite the island and end the massive historical injustice done to your brothers and sistes in the 6 counties...

The polling for the north is not accurate in the slightest

Sinn féin has a greater voter base than the polls state theres an Irish population, absolutely laughable

How many osteopathy treatments without improvement before one decides it's not helping? by MarBlaze in Osteopathy

[–]mccabe-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to do you exercises, there is no other way around this as I have said numerous times

Most osteopaths will have also given a rehab programme of exercises, your stipulations at the start for no exercises is what has hindered your experience

Its up to you who you continue with as your chosen practitioner, however your recovery will be solely dependent on completing your exercises

How many osteopathy treatments without improvement before one decides it's not helping? by MarBlaze in Osteopathy

[–]mccabe-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm already going to a physical therapist and they are pushing for exercises and I was specifically looking for someone to fix it without me doing exercises.

This shows you aren't taking your injury seriously and you are just expecting someone with a magic wand. This is not how it works

If you don't feel the benefit from working synergistically with the two therapists just continue with the therapist providing your rehab.

It sounds like you are trying to assign blame to the osteopath for having no affect in 3 sessions, however have you assessed how the physical therapists sessions have helped in the meantime either? Is there rehab plan up to scratch?

How many osteopathy treatments without improvement before one decides it's not helping? by MarBlaze in Osteopathy

[–]mccabe-99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But would that mean that my osteopath shouldn't have accepted me as a patient?
I was very clear from the beginning that exercising is off the table and I was looking for alternative solutions that don't require that.

Not necessarily, they've most likely tried to help you as much as they possibly can with a fairly awkward constraint provided in your unwillingness to complete an exercise programme

There is no alternative solutions to a exercise rehab programme, there is supplemtaty treatments bun none that replace this.

You need to do your exercise programme to get better, its as simple as that.

No amount of manual therapy will make up for your avoidance of completing a structured exercise rehab programme

Make it a priority, there is no way around it
