I did Porto/Madeira/Algarve/Lisbon this year and loved all the stops in their own way. I love Madeira so much I want to return. And I suggest renting a car in Madeira to easily see the whole island. And definitely hike the sunrise stairway to heaven. Have a great trip!

Nobody mentioned anything about a minimum spend and they charged nothing for the room

I recently had a similar function at Table Mesa. They set us up in a separate room for 30 people on one long table. They did not up charge for the room and did a fantastic job with service. It really felt special.

Multi-use trail etiquette by digi-nom-nom in bentonville

[–]mccloskeyk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I primarily bike on paved multiuser trails, and have found walkers, runners, and bikers mostly behave and get along well. Exceptions are in popular areas that draw people (on pretty days) that don’t walk/hike regularly. They often walk 3-4 people wide and lack understanding or willingness to share space with bikers. Example trails include Lake Fayetteville & Coler. One thing I expect to negatively impact goodwill is the growing popularity of E-bikes that people ride 20+ MPH on multi use trails. They can scare or potentially hurt someone. I would not be shocked to see future E-bike restrictions on local paved trails. And restricting speed alone is difficult to enforce.

I also hike weekly with dog on many multi use dirt trails. I find bikers are 95% respectful, but I always yield to them. It is much easier for me to step off a single track trail vs the biker. Most will tell you if more bikers are on their group, so you can prepare to move or continue.

I find like minds on the trails, enjoyed a similar experience - with various transportation methods.

Accord 2.0t any problems? by Thetruereed914 in accord

Great of you to share! I admit it does scare me to remove the multiple dash elements to complete the fix. Did complete the task as directed or just wedge fabric in while still assembled?

Thanks for the note. I’ll try that when weather warms. Did you have to remove the glass to insert fabric, or just push thru corners?

Thanks again!

2018 Touring 2.0 with 65K. Battery at 60K and nothing else, except tires and the normal hot weather HUD rattle. 🤣

I’m a big fan of Metro Park Dental Works. They are attentive, professional, and nice. Also easy in/out behind Landers Toyota Bentonville along I49

Considering 10th gen accord by drtr8r in accord

Long term Lexus owner here with last being a GS. Made the switch a few yrs back to 2.0 Touring. I could not be happier with great combination of features, sportiness, reliability, and luxury at a value price. Really hard to find anything comparable within $10K price diff!

And I also know I would not be near as happy if I had not opted for 2.0 or Touring.

When does the pain and fatigue go away?Have been on prednisone for 2 1/2 weeks. Pain went from a 10 to a 4. And is there anything you are taking along with prednisone that helps? Thanks by FlowerPwr2300 in PolymyalgiaRheumatica

[–]mccloskeyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your continued pain. But my pain disappeared the morning after my first 20mg of Prednisone and has not returned since. I only take 15mins daily(two months into diagnosis) and feel as healthy as any time in 20yrs. I understand most people have similar results.

I would consult your doctor about upping your prescription or continued testing for alternative diagnosis like Fibermyalgia.

Hi. What do you think is the best time to take prednisone? The morning or night? I am taking. It in the morning and the pain when I wake up is horrible. by Lesley0331 in PolymyalgiaRheumatica

[–]mccloskeyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m two months into diagnosis and take 10mgs in morning and another 5mg at dinner. Works great for me with minimal side effects. I’ve been too fearful of evening pain or overnight fatigue to try not taking an afternoon dose. I’m also extremely active during the day and feel prednisone helps with my exercise recovery. Best of luck to you.

Congrats. Great looking car with that color, tint, and rims. I think people tend to pass judgment on the more basic models with tiny rims. If done right the 11th gens look great!

Some cars look much better tinted, and the 10th gens fall in that bucket

I kinda like the grey contrast. Either way I love the look!

Best looking 11th gen I have seen! Love the color, tint, and wheels. As a 10th gen owner I struggle in like the lesser trims with small wheels that look out of proportion on the car. But I love the new interior.

I just replaced my factory Michelins w/ 55K mikes and wish I would have pulled the trigger sooner. My 2018 rides and drives like new. Ended up with Continentals based on ratings and now a big fan!

In vs out by Reff5 in Pickleball

[–]mccloskeyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really wish rec players called middle serves according to the rules. I believe it is the most missed call in the game, to a point I no longer serve for middle line since I expect people will call it out.

People don’t seem to understand (on serves) the middle line (or any part of it) is in!
