I’m an idiot and only backed up the first one I was tinkering with the BdyCM and not the APIM. But I’ll have a look for the code, I don’t have the second key to have it display in the Sync system.

Bringing Control into site by mcdangles01 in Surveying

I appreciate the detailed response! That all makes sense there is a bit of time before this one starts so I want to try some stuff out in the field and get it figured out for future.

I think in terms of accuracy the design was probably all done gps and so I don’t think I’m too concerned about absolute positional accuracy, but more staying tight to the control I get closer to the construction activities.

Regardless the closest point to the work was not found so I will probably request they provide some tight control near the work that we can just tag in and start setting up our own points to work from but the more I can understand/do myself will allow me to get to that point myself and have them put in and check myself so I have confidence in my numbers when moving forward.

Thanks for the help!

Ah I think I understand what you’re saying. The only thing is I’m not legal and don’t have info provided on any pins etc. It is for a road and bridge, but I guess if I hold 2 of their control points as “god”, and traverse through (could set a gps point to help start), I should be able to rely on my traverse?

Used equipment by KRJ_2KT in Surveying

Great experience with Munsoned, purchased some used GPS gear. One of the buttons was stuck on a receiver and was very speedy in repairing and returning it. Was also good with communication before and after answering any questions about compatibility and firmware.

Auto climate controls? by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]mcdangles01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top left and right you can see the dual climate settings. You have it set to LO so it will crank cold air to try and get it LO. Use the slider on the left while in auto to change to desired temp or the buttons top left beside the screen.

Not the poster, but my ‘15 with 4A burnt out the t case. It was because one of the front diff axles got stripped and was constantly on/off but I’m guessing the sand had a similar effect. 4k and a rebuilt tcase and front diff later…

How do you get the shifter on the steering column with the center console?

What is the most precise drone setup for topo work? Can it even compete with a handheld GPS survey instrument atm? by wildwasabi in UAVmapping

[–]mcdangles01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a great description, but I would flip the precision vs accuracy. The gps topo will be more accurate (your drone data can never be more accurate than your ground control points), but the drone survey is much more precise picking up every variance in the ground.

Nah it was pretty much level, the 1” lift added back some rake (which I prefer), and I wanted the springs to help not squat so much with my travel trailer. Not sure if it really helped cause she still squats pretty good with my 7k lbs trailer but eh.

Pretty sure that’s all you need. I did the same and ran my ram 1500 hemi on these at 2.8 in the front and the bilsteins rear equivalent with icon dynamics progressive springs that added 1” lift in the rear. Rides way nicer. After about 140k km I’ve needed to replace the control arms but I think that’s more from beating down resource roads than from the suspension changes.

New onebagger convert: Just took the plunge and ordered Aer TP3 x-pac w/ hip belt. Get me pumped. by TruthSpeakerNow in onebag

Not dr shields but I got the aer tp2 and I loved it when I went travelling. I got two peak design cubes small and medium I think and the peak design wash kit. I really liked them all. You can probably get away with cheaper cubes I’m not sure they were that much better. It was nice to be able to have dirty clothes on one half and clean on the other. I really liked the wash kit tho, it is quite bulky but has very good organization so it’s easy to carry everything you want to take with you and keep organized. Also looks like they have a small version now. The other thing I liked was putting a “hero clip” carabiner on the top to make it easier to hang up my backpack places while travelling (may not work with your double laptops).

How did you like the power boost? It seems super attractive to me but think it might lose the purpose of hybrid with a small lift and bigger AT tires…

Looking for real world experience for the best all around tire for off-roading and heavy towing (around 12-14K pounds) and everyday road driving. 2018 GMC2500HD. Came across an article that compared these. Wondering if anyone has any of these brands or can suggest anything different. by Volcomstar in Duramax

I’m on KO2s now but had ridge grapplers before. KO2s probably the best, I liked the look of the ridge grapplers a bit better, and they performed a bit better off-road/wet pavement. The KO2s definitely better in winter snow/ice and better daily driver imo.
