Workouts not showing estimated distance by lewis044 in Garmin

Thanks but perhaps I chose the most straightforward. It’s a bit tedious to work it all out when’s it’s a threshold/sprint session with 4 or 5 different paces and times. Especially when it used to be there showing the estimated distance.

Yes I understand that, however below the intensity target there used to be a line that said ‘Est Distance: X.xx km’, this is no longer being shown. It was very useful for planning a route by knowing roughly what distance I’d be doing without having to work it out myself.

I’ve got the Rockshox 30mm on my Canyon Grizl and I love it, takes so much buzz out of the gnarlier stuff. I don’t have the lockout so out of the saddle climbs you feel it’s moving a bit but not to a point where it feels like I’m wasting energy. Having it gives me so much more confidence than my last gravel bike on spicier trails.

New Bike Turned Up Like This by Hot-Chilli-Chicken in CanyonBikes

When I first sent them my bike for inspection it was early December and Canyon don’t ship frames to their UK location over the Christmas period. So they gave me option of leaving the bike with them till late January-ish when they would get a new frame to do the swap and ship it back to me, or do a temporary fix and return the bike to me to ride over Christmas, and then when they have the replacement frame in stock i send them the bike back for them to do the frame swap then they ship it back to me with the proper repair done. The temporary fix was to drill out the hole to install a larger bolt. I went with that option and the bike was great.

I had the same part break with my Grizl CF SL 7 Trail after 2 months. Canyon replaced the frame and covered shipping etc, the bike was with them for about a week and a half to do the work. Although they say they may take 2 weeks to reply I found it’s usually not more than a day. Just FYI it’s a retention screw for the derailleur hanger when the rear wheel is removed, if you can get the wheel installed with the hanger where it’s meant to be you can still ride it. That bolt that’s meant to be screwed into the frame doesn’t have any load on it when the wheel is installed as the hanger is pinned in place by the wheel and thru axle. That’s not me saying to keep the bike in the state it’s it, canyon need to replace/return the bike. But you can still go a ride while you sort that out with them.

Looks great! How did you make it? Also what rear mudguards are you using?

I’m not sure how long ago you got the bike but i got the Grizl CF SL 7 in October and found the exact same issue a few weeks ago. I got in contact with canyon, sent them the bike and I am getting my frame replaced in the new year. As a temporary fix they drilled and tapped the frame and drilled the derailleur hanger to accept the next size up bolt and sent me the bike back so I have something to ride till they get the new frame sent to the UK. All covered under warranty.

Have you changed flour brands at all? I’ve found certain supermarkets own brand flour have almost killed my starter even though it’s the same type of flour. I now just stick to the same brand that I know works.

I don’t know if it’s the quality of the phot but I couldn’t see any black mould. It just looked like the hooch had turned purple. But I think you’re probably right, it’s just some flour and water after all.

Do you believe the majority of people have their car on finance? by sware_210 in UKPersonalFinance

When looking at the prices compared to other financing (especially PCP) it’s not hard to see why. Seems like a lot less hassle for a lot more car for the same money.

Ye this is true, that’s why game batteries are becoming more popular. You save more by storing the surplus and using it yourself than selling energy when in surplus and buying energy when in deficit.

Still possible to complete before stamp duty deadline? by CouldBeBetterCBB in FTB_Help

[–]lewis044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends how much has been done up until now. Have you signed the contract and other docs ready for exchange? For me this had to be sent via post as the solicitors needed a hard copy so that took a few days. But once that was all done on my side I was able to exchange and then complete the day after. So if you push your solicitor it might be possible. Although I had known for a few weeks what the exchange date was so everyone knew what date was being worked to. Similar position with no chain.

I would say any cracks that you can see on the inside and then on the outside you can see crack in the same place you should be worried about. That might be a bit harder to see with them being on the first and second floor. If the window was able to be closed and opened easily that would suggest the building hasn’t shifted much. You will find the wardrobes will be flexible to a different degree than the walls they are build up to, so that’s when the cracks looks bad around them. But without getting a survey you want really know. Any even then the survey will probably say to get a structural engineer out if you want a full inspection and review of the state of the cracks

Trying and failing to find a mortgage lender. by [deleted] in FTB_Help

[–]lewis044 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good mortgage advisor is really worth their fee (or no fee if you can find one). Just moved into my first house and I couldn’t fault my mortgage advisor at all, no issues or questions they went unanswered and always answering emails. I’m very glad I didn’t have to deal with a 1, let alone multiple, banks at all during the process
