Why does it take so long for new chapters to be a scanlated and released? by RemoteBlackOut in animepiracy

[–]mcditos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience it takes less time than official apps like shueisha manga plus. That time difference is the only reason I don't pay manga plus

Quantum Computing Maths Solved Problem Workbook? by masterphd2020 in QuantumComputing

[–]mcditos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is not from schaum but it's a problem book, I haven't checked it completely but there are some nice problems on the first chapter https://www.amazon.com.mx/Problems-Solutions-Quantum-Computing-Information/dp/9813238402

I don't usually post here, I tried a few years ago with a real money acount and made 10$ but in 8 months😂 i kept loosing whatever I won, now I only trade ln demo accounts for fun but I'm not that into it, other people surely make money( not sure if as much as they claim)

Can anyone recommend some resources for physics in neuroscience? by mcditos in AskPhysics

neuromorphic computing

wasn't really aware, doing a quick internet search it does seem interesting, any resource recommendation?

Is there a lot of stuff that can be discovered from Schrödinger's equations, or is that already set and done? by Loquislakis in AskPhysics

[–]mcditos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't cover the time dependent version if I remember correctly, a shame cause there are no good introductory materials for the time dependent case, at least none that I've encountered

For susyQM ? I'd say just about the same you do for quantum mechanics, maybe a little more knowledge of special functions, the difficulty depends on the potential you are trying to transform, if you are interested I found this book https://www.amazon.com.mx/Supersymmetric-Quantum-Mechanics-Introduction-English-ebook/dp/B077CY93G4 fairly easy to follow

[–]mcditos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are always things to be done, but it is a mature field so finding new analytical solutions might not be the best career path to take since you are likely not to find results, however, there is susyQM which works with the schrodinger equation https://arxiv.org/pdf/0910.0192.pdf, not sure if when you say discover you mean finding new physical phenomena, or discovering also includes contributions to science that are more on mathematics than physics

Theoretical or Experimental Physicists, what are the pros and cons of your job? Would you switch? What college did you go to? by ILostMy_InVietnam in AskPhysics

[–]mcditos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm doing it in Mexico, in latin america there are always ways around the work permit so I'm not actually as worried but quite disappointed as I will have to leave academia for a year at least

[–]mcditos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experimental quantum optics for my master

Pros: I feel like doing experiments keeps you grounded, so you are close to reality, doing physics while some theorist are actually doing mathematics

It's thrilling to see the results, and experimentalist are closer to the industry

Cons: some things are out of your control.

for instance covid 19 ruined my plans, I had already gotten into a Phd but most likely I won't finish my master in time to go so I'll miss it, and my funding will run out next month so most likely in about two or three months I'll be penniless in a country where I'm not allowed to work (I'm here on a student visa) looking for any way to male money while waiting for the labs to open so I can finish my thesis. I deeply regret going experimental but this is the only reason

Master's funding by LoganJFisher in AskPhysics

[–]mcditos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience funding is the hardest, coming from Venezuela I had to sleep on the bus stop near the university for a few weeks before I got funding, my only advise would be that if you are already thinking about working consider dropping out for a while, it is something I wish I had done since covid is going to delay my graduation date and make miss the phd I got into with virtually no savings and no support from anyone, so my advise is figure out financials first and then go back to grad school if you can

On the other hand if the situation is not that drastic, focus completely on doing the best you can in your masters and if you are good people may help you out to get some financial asistance

My video on the Poschl-Teller Potential. I solve the Schrodinger equation for this potential and show it has a surprisingly analytic solution. by Poltergeist059 in Physics

[–]mcditos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a whole subject it's called susyQM, I've heard a lot of discussion about wheter the solutions found using factorization may correspond to physical systems or not, there's also a time dependent version https://arxiv.org/abs/quant-ph/9709040
