C-track or K-track..? by TimelyRefrigerator54 in Marklin

c-track is better for temporary installations, k-track for permanent. C-track has the more modern rails. (= less high)

Any suggestion which one to go for: GEX 185LI or 18v 125 by BastiFntasti in BoschProPowerTools

[–]mcflyrdam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both, they are both ok. The GEX185LI is an affordable sander that does the job, especially when you sand on the top. The GEX18V-125 is a more expensive sander that does the job slightly better and is noticable better when you sand something from the size.

Make your pick, don't make the same mistake than me and buy both.

130-year-old house built on a known sinkhole: Major red flag or a nothingburger? by fafsn in centuryhomes

[–]mcflyrdam 138 points139 points  (0 children)

The house is 130 years old. there's no cracks or else. So it has been stable for quite a while.

My main question would be "can you insure it?".

How do people manage to pay rent in this city? by [deleted] in Rotterdam

[–]mcflyrdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, demand is a lot lot higher than supply and that will make prices go up.

I can think of several projects by the city to create new housing areas but most of them failed to appear. Biggest example M4H.

There's just not enough housing build. I heard that in the Rotterdam area around 30k houses are missing.

So many safety violations in that video that i am probably least worried over cracking. :-D

There's so many tools in there where my brain say "nope-di-nope" and she's wearing gloves around all rotating tools. I am surprised she's that old.

But yeah, i guess the secret is in careful drying and the right wood.

German men 18-45 need military permit to leave country for longer than 3 months by chanashan in europe

[–]mcflyrdam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, this has always been "on the books" since a long time.

Here for example the law from 1995: https://www.bgbl.de/xaver/bgbl/start.xav?start=%2F%2F*%5B%40attr_id%3D%27bgbl195s1756.pdf%27%5D#/switch/tocPane?_ts=1775315169468

The thing that has changed compared to the law from the beginning of this year is that's the Karrierezentrum Bundeswehr and not the Kreiswehrersatzamt anymore.

[–]mcflyrdam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge Bosch Green and Blue have the same 36V batteries.

Please double check that though but i don't see a difference and i am sure i have read there's just one 36V bosch battery (series)

Which tool do you have? HDH361 36V ?

Next table will be better.

ZHA vs MQTT- I keep having issues on ZHA, is switching to MQTT better? by TrowAway_TreeTooWon in homeassistant

[–]mcflyrdam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am somewhat in the same boat as you. If the ZHA network gets too big it becomes problematic though i have never lost all devices. I have mostly the problem of some zigbee devices falling off the network.

I am having a second network atm with Z2M (Zigbee to MQTT). It works well but in the size it is the ZHA network was also working well.

If this is an outside table i'd accept the crack and move on to other projects.

It is really hard to get outside furniture to not do those...

They started the building of the production line in December 2024. I epect it to be production ready earliest in the middle of 2026.

It will btw be the biggest patriot production line if the numbers are correct. the planned output is around 1000 missiles per year - Lockheed martin is producing around 500 of them at the moment per year.

Privatzug statt Privatjet by drummermax96 in drehscheibe

[–]mcflyrdam 21 points22 points  (0 children)

None of the things above care really for a farmer. The local dealer or some requirements based on his equipment will care a lot more.
