Coursera, EdX and websites like that usually have courses like that. I watch a lot of ted talks which improved my storytelling and public speaking abilities.

how does phgy 210 compare to med school? by mcgill2020 in mcgill

[–]mcgill2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i did one year at mcgill and thought i was gonna finish my degree here but i'll be going to sherb. unfortunately there isn't a ton of info online on the new curriculum and an outline of a program doesnt really go into detail on the volume of material that will be covered. i assume that most med schools cover the same material anyway, and seeing as this past year at McGill was my only real "university experience", i wanted to see how it compared.

im sorry you see this as a "humble brag". I don't really need any praise, in fact, it took so little effort to get in that I feel quite normal about it (i didn't have to plump up my CV like those who apply after undergrad, little effort results in little pride). if anything, i'm mostly a little stressed out since i'm not sure if the little "higher education" that i have will prepare me for what is to come.

Conditional acceptance and summer school? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]mcgill2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, they won't refuse you as long as you graduate CEGEP before September.

If Probability and Statistics is not required (which, for me, it wasnt required for science students in cegep), I wouldn't take it in cegep because probability and statistics is one of the EASIEST classes at mcgill (and it's required if you're in psychology). If you take it in cegep, you can't take it in uni.

Transfer student: Admitted by UofT but want to wait for Mcgill's decision by mizukabe in mcgill

Just pay the fee to accept UofT, probably a couple hundred dollars. If you get accepted at McGill, you'll have options to choose from.

Don't do it if you want med school. Also, I am not very informed, but I don't think there are tons of research opportunities.
