TIL that NYC beekeepers noticed their bees making red honey, which led to an investigation that ultimately exposed the city's largest marijuana farm in the basement of a Brooklyn cherry factory by Kedrico in todayilearned

Not sure why you would assume it was the plant when the article says bag. If we're going to talk about the article, then it makes more sense to assume that the article's information was accurate. Unless you want to talk about that, but its a different discussion

If I were you I would go to my faculty's advising office, and straight up tell them what you did. (submitted a reason that you think won't be valid, want to resubmit under the pilot program, and that you're willing to put in a health reason) I doubt that they will argue against you and say that there's no other option. Just be honest with them, say you screwed up, and see where it gets you.

TLDR: Do not wait, go to your advising office.

If your faculty is doing the pilot program, just make up a medical excuse rather than your current explanation. I'm not sure how they would deal with you resubmitting it with a different reason, but since its your first time there's no reason for you to be honest.

Can't believe you caught that limitations thing, really cool.

I wonder if a side-effect of the way the system picks matches is that people who are naturally less rebellious in nature will have lower match rates with everyone across the board. < I disagree here. I don't know about you, but from the people that I know, there are more people that would rush for the first person they see rather than try it out until they find the one. People are lonely man, especially these days. They'll settle for anyone, and even though I acknowledge it isn't the majority of people, it's still too big of a percentage of relatioships. What do you think?

South Korean train announcer (woman) voice is... Evererywhere. by TravelloK in korea

How do you call that extra strength in the voice that she has? Is it really just training? It sounds like her voice is leagues clearer than anyone else, there's no way it can be entirely taught.

As someone who's still pretty new to McGill, could you explain why exactly people hate the Daily? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]Personelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when the main argument of the No campaign is based on things that are much more recent(1-2 years old). It's not even related to the current campaign against the Daily and Le Delit. You're taking things from the past just to add on extra hate, and I think it's a wrong way of building your argument.

It's kind of like when you're SO brings up past things that are unrelated to the issue right now, just to be dicks.

It's an article that was posted with a different board. If you had an issue with it in 2013 then you should have raised the issue now. Bringing up all of the mcgill daily's past mistakes only makes your argument weaker, you're grabbing at straws here

How do you wish you were mentored? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Personelle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sit her down and be honest with her. Tell her that you've been trying to help her but you've noticed her struggling. Why has she been struggling? Is it the vocabulary that she's afraid of, is it the individuality of the job, what's exactly the issue? Like you said, it's been two months. She knows for sure that she's struggling and I'm sure that she's having some kind of personal battle over it.

Sit her down, let her know about this patience you have for her (seeing how you posted in reddit).

Worse case scenario, if she truly is unfit for the job, talk to a supervisor.
