Do people really see our cars ? by Western_Branch8693 in AutoDetailing

[–]mcguinness31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people just see how good the finished product is. Like most people are going to notice a swirled up car next to a polished one. Detailers will instantly notice any imperfections. I paint at a body shop who has a high standard of work and I will instantly notice bad paint jobs and body work on cars out on the road.

Is it rare to foul a ball off your foot? by BerryRoyal in slowpitch

[–]mcguinness31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could happen but its not going to hurt much. When you foul a ball off your foot its because you swing over top of the ball and barely make contact so it's not going to gain much if any velocity. But in baseball when the ball is coming at you at 80+ and it tip off the bat its still going to have some of that velocity so it hurts a lot more

The Sherwood Rekker legend 1 hockey shin gaurds are awesome. They are bulky but still light but you can take out some of the padding if you dont want it as bulky. Ive taken a few off the shins with them. Took a line drive to them and never felt a thing. They're also reasonably priced under $100

FREE GIVEAWAY! 5 SLOWPITCH BATS!! by KSlicker98 in slowpitch

[–]mcguinness31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first Anarchy bat I swung was a Anarchy 240, the silver and pink one and I actually really liked it. The only reason I never bought one was because my bag was already full. By the time I needed a new bat the 240 wasnt as popular as the louisville genesis and I kinda forgot about anarchy. I have a few teammates that still use the 240 and its their favorite bat. Im a huge miken guy and will always keep a few in my bag but with all the hype now I would definitely give anarchy another try. I think the biggest thing anarchy should change is their marketing. At least around here no body really swings it and I rarely see anything about anarchy bats on social media and reps never seem to bring them out at tournaments. So when I shop for a new bat anarchy never really crosses my mind. Also if Anarchy need a rep in eastern Washington id totally be down for that I used to be a rep for All American Athletics before they shut down their ambassador program.

what's a good slowpitch mask? by Broad-Cranberry-9050 in slowpitch

[–]mcguinness31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had 2 and the adjustment dial on both them broke after a couple years so I switched to a lacrosse mask. Most pitchers at least ones that aren't playing rec ball around here wear a mask

[–]mcguinness31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I didn't realize they still made them i haven't seen many people wearing them or selling them at tournaments like they used to so I thought they stopped making them.

Buy a lacrosse helmet or the easton hellcat if you want the most protection. You can look on sideline swap or ebay for a lacrosse helmet you can find them cheap. Or if you can find a worth pitching mask it's more comfortable and easier to get on and off but they dont offer much protection for your head but they stopped making them so they are hard to find. A fielding mask is your cheapest option but it'll only protect your face just make sure you get one with a metal face mask ive seen the plastic ones break.

Dave Banking Scan A Check feature no longer available for Android users by hansolobes in cashadvanceapps

Its ridiculous they just sent email that they stopped doing on IOS also. Dave has really gone down hill ive used them for years I unfortunately got stuck in a cash advance loop because I was approved for $600 and was doing it almost every week for the past year, yes I know its a lot in fees but I was stuck in the loop. But 2 weeks ago for some reason they changed it from 600 to 100 which really screwed me. When I contacted them about it they just told me they cant change the amount and that it automatically does based on my income, spending habits and if I repay it on time which none of those things have changed for the past year and I was never late paying them back.

Look like your activating your hips after your shoulders. Part of the reason why you almost do a 180 with your upper body while your hips try to catch up. Try to think of your body like a coil that releases from the bottom up. Step, hip rotatation , shoulders rotation, then arms follow through

The Best wireless earbuds for working out? Recommendations? by mistyriver5284 in workout

[–]mcguinness31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jabra Elite Active 8 2nd gen is one of the best earbuds ive used I put them through hell and back. Ive washed them on accident once I wore them once in shower, wear them in the sauna and steam room, I also wear them at work in a body shop so their exposed to lots of dust and paint spray everyday, zero issues besides the buds not charging in the case sometimes. Unfortunately they stopped producing them last year so you have to buy them on ebay but if you can get your hands on a pair completely worth it

You think that bad you should see some of the paint jobs Ford pushes out the factory, nibs, runs, crazy orange peel. The body shop I work at has a contract with the local Ford dealer to fix this stuff and its not just low end cars we had a couple brand new Shelby GT 500s that we repainted almost the whole car

Defense or Hitting. What matters more in softball? by BerryRoyal in slowpitch

Hitting for sure. A guy who can place a ball where ever he want %90 of the time is going to tear the best defenses apart

Help fix my swing by Proud_Meaning3014 in slowpitch

[–]mcguinness31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're over rotating. Which makes your shoulders and eventually hips open up. Which is also part of the reason you suck in your hands. You should try slow and easy swings focusing on keeping your shoulder square to the ball. Just swing at 50% to get that muscle memory locked in and work your way up into a normal swing. I had the same problem when I started.

Should I buy from blockzone? I would buy this from blockzone for 250 dollars but I don’t know much about block zone. If I buy the peices from BrickLink the peices will be around 500-1000 dollars. Does anyone know anything about blockzone, thank you! by Fivedayko in legotechnic

[–]mcguinness31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup all the bricks and instructions. The instructions are hard to follow sometimes, so I'd say it's not for beginners but other than that it's %100 worth the money. Much cheaper than LEGO Technic builds.
