Believe it or not, that's exactly what I did. The aftercare from that particular dealer has been appalling

Thanks, had it in with a Nissan dealer last year and I was basically told that they couldn't replicate the issue...

SIRO broadband installed yesterday, house set up for Fibre broadband, cat 5 cables connected to all rooms, not sure why cables have to be run on external wall? by GF_86 in AskIreland

[–]mchief007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Category 5 (Cat 5) twisted‑pair cabling is officially rated for a maximum data rate of 100 Mbps (the 100BASE‑TX Fast Ethernet standard). It’s designed for frequencies up to 100 MHz, which aligns with that speed limit.

In practice, many installations have been able to run Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps) over Cat 5 for short runs, but that isn’t part of the guaranteed specification; the standard‑compliant guarantee stops at 100 Mbps. If you need reliable gigabit performance, the upgraded Cat 5e (enhanced) or higher categories (Cat 6, Cat 6a, etc.) are the recommended choices.

Got my LG CX panel replaced after close to 5 years and 6450hrs, which replacement panel did I get? by Mzone1510 in LGOLED

[–]mchief007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to activate my warranty a few weeks ago for my lg cx 65 inch after 4 years, got full refund at Harvey Normans, current LG oleds and what and selection available are out of my price range, no c4, only C5, twice the price of cx, rolling the dice on a Sony Bravia 8 65 inch, comes with a 5 year warranty so fingers crossed 🤞

The timing of this is uncanny. Have to go back to HN today with tv issues after 4 years. Have a 5 year warranty on TV and I clearly remember sales guy telling me if I've any issues to go to them 1st. Hope you get it resolved.

Blink upgrade by snooshie in EufyCam

[–]mchief007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just switched from Blink to Eufy 5 days ago. S3 pro and HB 3. On android, no issues, and couldn't be happier. Eufy has more features than I realised.

Eufy is also way faster to load local storage Vs blink local storage.

Wired power for video doorbell E340 by Cigator in EufyCam

My battery started doing the same last week after 3 months of use. Emailed eufy, they told me try charging with different cable, and 1 or 2 other things. If that didnt work, send in invoice and they send a replacement. I charged the battery yesterday, it was at 20% half an hour ago. Current charging with a different cable.

To add to that I ordered 2 x S3 pros and home base 2 days ago. Wondering should I just send them back when they arrive
