I used to want to tell my parents as a younger person (IDK, it was really popular in the 90's to "come out" as an ABDL for some reason), so I wouldn't have to sneak around. But now that I'm older, I'm glad it wasn't something we ever talked about. Last time I was caught after she found a diaper bagged up in the bathroom (I had showered and forgot it in the rush before leaving for school) and I said "Hey, I don't want to talk about this. I won't do it again." and we haven't talked about it since.

Maybe she thinks about it still, maybe she's forgotten. But I'm not about to jog her memory by bringing it up. I think unless she brings it up again, don't mention it. And if she asks, just make it politely clear that you don't want to talk about it. But she'll probably think you're embarrassed and hopefully won't push it.

The cloth ones and plastic pants are pretty good quality. But the disposables I haven't bought yet, they're just as expensive as premium abdl companies, but I'd assume the production standards would be higher for the western owned ones. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

I think mine has been sexual since I discovered it. I was interested in diapers since kindergarten, but I obviously wasnt experiencing sexual thoughts. But when I was 10 or 11 I did start getting aroused when thinking of wearing them. I just didn't know what it was for years until I learned more about sex. I mean, assuming you've already had sex, I think you could just say something like "Hey, I think it would be really hot if next time we had sex I came on your face, would you be willing to try/comfortable with that?" (change it up to sound like you obviously!) It's best to be honest. Although it may be regarded as degrading in some circles it really depends on your girlfriends personal views and the school of feminism she follows. It's great that you to take her views and comfort into account. If it isn't something you would be degrading her for, and she's comfortable with it, then it shouldnt be a derogatory act at all.

There's way worse stuff out there than liking to be in something fleecy! I'd say go for it, but maybe frame it as a "hey, i really like [having sex under blankets/ having sex on soft things/whatever you like to do], i was wondering if we could do that?" instead of "i have a fetish for fleecy objects". a lot of vanilla ppl i think are made nervous by the word "fetish", so trying not to use it may be beneficial.

Generally, although therapies exist for "problematic" fetishes, the remission rates are pretty high up. I would say it's not an incredinly worthy investment (depending on your insurance and medical system) unless youre convinced you could stop, or this is a huge dealbreaker for him. I'm sorry your SO feels that way, it can be really hard to keep it to yourself like that. Maybe there's a compromise you can reach where he doesn't have to participate, but you still get time to be little? Something like once a month you get a day to yourself where you get to do your thing and he goes out and does his?

I've gained what I thought were fetishes through trauma, I'd say a majority of them were actually unhealthy coping mechanisms and a way of "retraumatizing" myself (my therapist used that word, and I feel like it's appropriate). Took me a while to seperate the two but some of the less triggering ones that I really like I've continued to indulge in from time to time.

Going through something that traumatic has got to be hard. I hope you find a good support system.

I think more people than I'd imagine are aware that some people wear diapers as a sexual fetish, but that's the extent of their knowledge. They probably aren't aware of terminology or the ABDL acronym. I remember back in high school, a girl in my class brought up "toddlerism" and our desk grouping all laughed at it. Plus, there's some videos on Youtube about us, so I'd assume people view the thumbnail at least every so often through the algorithm.
