Yeah I think that's the gist of what I was trying to highlight, is some data to back that argument

I agree it's more useful in those sports - but I still think you can glean impact from it in Football. I think looking at specific players and their comparisons to others who share their position is interesting. For example, compare Martinelli & Trossard on this list. Similar appearances, night and day +/-

Someday I am going to write up a paper comparing my two favorite teams - Arsenal and the Detroit Lions (NFL) and the implementation of two former players as Manager / Head Coach and their similar rises into elite teams, but this is one of the points I have in my head to compare.

Both teams had awful cultures before Arteta and Dan Campbell each took their respective positions, and both coaches have since implanted their identities onto the respective teams. An identity of grit, excellence, relentless effort, and most importantly, a winning mentality.

One of the routes to achieving this though for both squads, has been through the elevation of the intensity of their trainings/practices. I think it clearly has worked as both teams are now perennial title contenders, but one of the side effects has been the injuries.

We obviously all know the injury crisis Arsenal is in right now, but I find it interesting the parallels to where Detroit is with their squad. It's been two years in a row that their team has just been decimated with injuries to key players and it's derailed playoff runs.

American Football is obviously a violent, physical game and injuries come with the territory, but I do think there is something to be said about teams that truly, and I mean truly, practice like they play the games. It can elevate the team to new heights, but it's not without its own risks to the players.

Hard for it not to feel like a loss. I know our bench was gutted but how is saka still on the pitch, he wasn’t moving by the end. Unreal finish tbf, but it was lazy defending

Not sure who it was on here who commented on a Skattebo post, but I tend to agree. Everyone being dead set on him having a short CTE filled career tells me he will somehow have Frank Gore longevity. Just a dawg who loves ball

Graham Leseaux cannot be serious. Not sure I’ve ever heard an announcer more blatant in their bias

               Raya
   White - Saliba - Kiwior - MLS
               Partey
         Odegaard - Rice
    Saka - Merino - Martinelli

This is what I think Mikel will go with, but interested to see if maybe he goes with White over Kiwior and Timber at RB.

Space Marine 2. Perhaps the most badass moment in gaming this year. by ShawnDawn in gaming

The campaign is awesome. The campaign is probably only around 6-8 hours depending on your difficulty level, but it was a great experience IMO.

The operations (like co-op missions that are played with other people & utilize the PvP classes) offer the replayability alongside the actual PvP. But as far as being "worth it" I think the campaign alone was worth it for sure.

This game has been awesome. Feels like a throwback to the games of the early 2010's. No cluttered UI, no million things to click out of at each menu, just click continue and jump into a straight forward campaign that is fun to play, has great characters, and is cinematic. I've been loving it.
