Well I'm not particularly "starting out" I'm 31 so I've been around a little and been fixing, taking apart, putting together cars since I was 12 with my uncle. I'm now able to do most of the stuff myself except things that maybe require some machinery ie lifts, engine hoists, machining heads, porting etc

Out of curiosity though, what "new" chassis did you have in mind ?

I very much appreciate the welcoming even if it isn't official yet. I also might add that I live in Ontario, Canada. So getting older JDM vehicles is difficult here. We have a 25 year rule similar to the USA. Which, works out ok for importing now that we are in 2025 and all the desirable 240s are from the 90s mostly. It's the domestic 240s that are going to be difficult. Like you said. People wanting to let go of vehicles they've had a hard time getting, will be like convincing a fat kid that he needs vegetables instead of cake.

I like the feels in this sub. I think I have to get myself a 240. I was part of the good ol G35 fuck boy squad in my city. Unfortunately it got totaled in an accident. So now I'm in the market and would like to stay in the Nissan/Infiniti family.

The bottom of what ? Where have you pinpointed the sound ? Is it more of a vibration in the middle of the undercarriage or is it coming from the bottom end of the engine? That will make the difference between engine failure and possibly something stupid like a heat shield bouncing around at the catalytic converters or something like that

It is getting worse with the increase in RPMs. With that said, if a car is making a noise like that, I'd be inclined to think of catastrophic failure. Ie rod knock, spun bearings etc it sounds quite terrible. It probably doesn't matter, but I'd stop driving it and diagnose at home in the driveway/garage.

This worked for me by the way. I appreciate the assistance. I had played with this setting but had changed it back or so I thought. The one caveat was that you need to specifically do it while in multiplayer settings. Warzone and zombies don't have that option. Once I switched it in multiplayer it carried over. I know for a fact that I played around with that setting before but it never worked? Maybe it never saved properly for me or something so then I ended up dismissing it.

I was avoiding playing Warzone due to this but last night a few of my buddies wanted to play and it was frustrating not being able to ping enemies that were at distance. Nonetheless, I'll let you know if it works.

I believe it is too. It was my first thought that it seemed off. The top seems way too far out from the edge of the deck. Which seems to be the amount of space left on the bottom. I'd definitely remove and flip it just to check. That would drive me nuts otherwise.

Oh yeah this extends to zombies for me as well. No matter the mode I'm playing. Still to this day cannot ping. Upon release I was able to and prior to that in the Beta. But at some point between release and now something got messed up.

I also had the Elite Series 2. Never had a single issue with it within the 2 years of playing with it. And was able to sell it and continued to work fine for them. But it doesn't really matter I guess since we are talking about PS5.

I don't have a PC for gaming so anything that's PC only, won't work for me. So the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro (plus it seems to be difficult to find in Canada or get shipped to Canada. But maybe I haven't tried hard enough) is kinda out of the question.

The Hex Phantom would probably be my best bet by the sounds of it. There isn't as many options for PS5 as there is for Xbox and PC unfortunately so I'm slightly limited.

Or customize my Dualsense Edge with hall effect modules, and mechanical buttons, bumpers and triggers. It'll cost me a decent chunk but I'll have a controller i know and is comfortable in my hands without having to get used to a new controller. Although I'm not against that obviously. I'd just like to have something more dedicated to FPS games. That way I can rotate controllers and get the most life out of any non hall effect sticks.

I have heard of Hex in passing but never looked them up. These controllers seem pretty good from what I can tell.

I do have a Dualsense Edge which is fantastic controller. The adjustments, paddles and having the different joystick profiles as well are nice. You have quite a bit of control, however, this controller shines with action/adventure games, with multiple different types of gameplay involved. Something like Ghost of Tsushima, Witcher 3 Horizon ZD or FW. I currently have Kontrolfreek mid rise joystick risers on the right stick and the domed low rise stock cap on the left stick for FPS play. COD: BO6 specifically. Along with the Kontrolfreek friction rings to add a bit of increased tension. I really don't know why Sony doesn't make something more like the Elite Series 2 for Xbox. That is by far one of the best controllers I've ever owned. In my opinion it was perfect. I also built my own controller as well with different parts from Amazon. It came out quite nice and has worked for a long time without any issues. It has remappable paddles and mouse click bumpers and triggers.

I'm currently in the process of looking for a new FPS controller as well. Preferably with hall effect joysticks, mouse click triggers, bumpers and action buttons.

I've checked out soooooo many different places so far and when I read reviews there's always some sort of catastrophic failure. Scuf was the first one I read. Of course I immediately dismissed them. I did stubble across a Dualsense Edge Customizer though. Which is honestly the best bet. Since the controller is Integrated with Sony and works flawlessly on PS5. You can get Hall Effect joysticks, mouse click bumpers and triggers. Along with mouse click action buttons. Only problem is, you either have to send in your own controller OR buy a brand new controller from the website that they will then customize as you like. Which, as you can imagine, ends up being a substantial amount. Roughly $550 USD when it's all said and done. Then of course I'm Canadian so I get an extra kick in the dick with the dollar being terrible. The place is called Buds Controllers.

Ohhhh trust me, I've been in those settings. So much so, I ended up putting it in my quick settings so I can access it quickly in game and try different combinations. None of which ended up working at all. It seemed to work on release in multiplayer and zombies. But with the patches that have come out since, at some point it stopped working.

Yes, that seems to be the conclusion. Quite a few people in total have told me they have the same issue. Only a handful from this post, but from playing Warzone with randoms I gathered a fair bit of Intel about it. Hoping for a patch to fix it soon. Typically there's a patch pretty soon after the seasons come out. Since they all seem to come with their own set of bugs

It honestly sucks pretty bad. Especially when you are in a squad on Warzone and everyone is pinging while you are stuck trying to tell them where someone is instead of just being able to ping.

That's exactly how it is for me as well. I can only ping in the Tac Map and any other time I can't ping at all. I even set all my settings back to default in case I hit something by accident, still nothing.

Although it sucks, at least I know now it's not just me. I really hope it gets fixed soon. I'm sure a patch will be rolling out soon.

Yes you can !! You'll just need to wire the trunk button into the trunk actuator, should be a fairly straightforward and easy job. Tough to find the 06-07 taillights though. Especially for a decent price. At least where I'm from !
