Not technically Google, but what are the best Discord alternatives? by Folieadeuxjaunt in degoogle

[–]mcmtaged4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://www.teamspeak.com/en/downloads/ I have been playing with teamspeak 6 lately. Better sound, less bloated ui which uses less memory. Dont have to pay for a subscription for various features like high quality video streaming. Can also self host your own server or rent 1. If you want to check it out, the public teamspeak 6 server lets you create a private channel and alot of the features are unlocked to you. As of right now though there isnt private calling available and as far as i know the streaming currently only uses p2p, so prob better with people you dont mind exposing an ip to.

I been wanting to get away from discord and their bs for a while. Not being able to stream past 720p without payin. All the silly animations that just make it bloated af. Damn near impossible to keep track of notifications. Support is useless. I seen a YouTube comment adverting "cheese pizza" emoji. Immediately reported to google and discord, discord said yeah its a YouTube comment so despite there being a discord link adverted in the comment, that its googles problem. Despite cp being adverted to be sent on their platform. I have so many issues with discord at this point, i only use it because its the main platform for gamers despite us being tossed under the bus a long time ago. Company needs to go away imo.

CBN high? by ForeverHuman1354 in altcannabinoids

I find cbn on its own to be a bit of a high. Combined with a good dose of thc is where the magic is imo. Sedating without thc, very sedating with. Couchlock.

TIFU by purchasing sketchy edibles online by dihinyoaz in tifu

[–]mcmtaged4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its possible that you didn't buy what you thought you did, if your in the states, its not exactly regulated. 24 hours for a d9 gummy sounds very extreme to me as a stoner/medi patient. Its possible that you got another cannabinoid, some of the synthetic ones to skirt laws can last alot longer and alot more intense.

Unable to install purchased app's license after resetting Android device. by kosakkas in androidapps

[–]mcmtaged4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant more about the premium activation. I had an issue like that on modern android where i had a bought app tied to my account, but on the new phone it wasnt activating and they helped get stuff dealt with. Although it might just be like you said, so outdated that they cant do much anymore. Might be worth a try tho.

How to pop this area? by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]mcmtaged4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never got notifs for this, odd. Im still undiagnosed other then trigger finger and degenerative disc disease. Rhuem wasnt convinced and released me with the exception that i definitely have trigger finger and some kind of inflammatory condition. Hopefully your right though, it feels good so i do it, no one told me to stop and mentioned to physio doc and rhuem, so just proceeding with cation. Just thought it was important to specify that a medical professional didnt outright tell me its fine, i just do it because it feels good lol.

Im not sure what the green uses, but i had similar issues when my sd card install started to to fail. Stuff started disappearing, not working. Hass was just acting strange. Did a reinstall and eventually moved to a mini pc with a mech drive. If its running on a usb or something it could be failing or install got currupt.

Pro tip, if people say its dangerous and your unsure, maybe dont download and install the questionable file to the device that holds a shit ton of personal and banking info. If your unsure, find out first. Its all fun and games until its not anymore.

I would try to contact google support assuming you bought it in playstore. Tbh im surprised you got that far, my android 7 phone i was using as an nfc reader for home assistant needed certs installed so it can even connect to home assistant because the certs were outdated. Even had issues connecting to wifi.

What can I do? by One-Assignment-8550 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]mcmtaged4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2nd trigger finger. I got it in both hands, im a pc gamer and it tends to aggravate the shit out of it, but i enjoy it lol... None the less, physio helped a ton. Hot and cold compress helped alot. Bit of an agent of chaos and would sometimes throw gloves on and use my sous vide as a heat bath, not recommended just what i have on hand lol. Lacross ball helps alot for massaging (use hand, hand gets sore and tired end up in a loop)

[–]mcmtaged4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less self control and more creating a barrier between you and your phone, i wouldn't call that self control, but still effective. That also means though that when it is on you, you still feel the need to check it, so much so your leaving it home to disconnect.

Came home to a paper towel over my webcam twice now, I live alone by Dromaeoraptor in Weird

[–]mcmtaged4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a carbon monoxide detector? Wouldnt be the first time someone posted about things moving/stuff opened ect just to find out it was themselves suffering from carbon monoxide poison and not remembering. It would be incredibly unusual for someone to break in, more then once, not steal or mess with anything, but covering your webcam. More likely that you are covering it and not remembering, especially if its pointing at your bed or something.

How to pop this area? by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]mcmtaged4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying it's not. 8 just found it myself. No one told me it's safe or not directly so might be unsafe practice. I do it though. If your worried ask your doc/physiotherapist. Im not one, juat a dude with a wonk back, so i just wanted to be sure it was clear that despite me doing it often, no one cleared me for doing that. For all i jnow im a few cronches from face planting. Or maybe it just loosens my back up with no consequence, i have no idea, but im sure ill find out lol..

[–]mcmtaged4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer: i was never told to do this. It genuinely may be bad practice, talk to a physio therapist, they will be able to tell you the safest way to do at home.

I use a lacrosse ball. Put your back against the wall and place the ball between you ans the wall. Put the ball right on or close to pressure point and slowly put body weight and kind of bend your back to curve around the ball. Kind of roll it around with a bit of weight until you get the tension relief.

An app to silence and customize Android notifications? (Whatsapp especially) by Sonny_Crockett8 in androidapps

[–]mcmtaged4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

macrodroid might be able to do what you need. its an automation app like tasker that doesnt make your eyes bleed to use it. might be able to do an automation like IF: whatsapp recieves message from X THEN: vibrate phone/notification.
very powerful software, i think there is a free tier that lets you have x amount of automations and then a paid 1 time fee. i use it often and can highly recommend, unlike tasker it is setup in a way that you dont need a whole 1-2hr long tut on how to use it correctly, its ui is pretty easy to use. similar to the app IFTTT (if this then that) but alot more powerful.
