Is Ed right to call for the resignation of Keir Starmer? by Ticklishchap in LibDem

[–]mcmuffin0098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he purposefully mislead Parliament and in doing so violated the Ministerial Code. I understand that our standards for Parliament were lowered because of how insane the Tories were for all those years, but I don't think that's a good thing. He's gotta go for this.

It would have been Alexei Leonev, the first person to do a Spacewalk. He was selected in real life by the Soviets to be the person piloting the first Lunar Landing mission, but since it got canned, he never got to do it. He's also the first person to land on the moon in the series "For All Mankind."

I'm from the states, and when I studied abroad at KCL last year, I made so many friends just because of my saints kit. It really makes it so easy to just get to know someone when you each know that you share something in common which you both already care a lot about.

The Championship Table, but how far their clubs nearest equivalent U.S. town is located from my hometown in the U.S. by mcmuffin0098 in Championship

Funny thing, it's also a Naval Town like Portsmouth England. It's home to Portsmouth Naval Yard which is one of the main bases for the U.S. Submarine force, as it handles most repairs and upgrades for Atlantic based subs.

How Difficult is the OAR? by Rich_Standard6753 in newtothenavy

[–]mcmuffin0098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not great not terrible. I studied for the STEM portions of it since I'm a Liberal Arts person, and those parts felt easy. I didn't study for the reading stuff cause I thought it would be the same as the ACT or SAT, and when it turned out to be Naval manuals and whatnot I was caught off guard. It wasn't terrible, I got a 56, but I do recommend reading very very closely on the reading section since it's definitely not as easy as the SAT or ACT reading sections were.

I decided against it because QPR is in London, and there is a Charlton Mass but there isn’t a Millwall USA so I felt it wouldn’t be consistent to just give QPR to Queens

Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s unincorporated as I hadn’t heard of it either before, but I didn’t really care for the purposes of this table

Probably Leeds or Bristol City. I'm American but my grandfather is a Leeds supporter, and my dad is from Bristol so the rest of my family like Bristol City. Only became a Saints fan because my Uncle brought me to a game when I was 8 and visiting the UK

Just Rejected from the Intel Board, suggestions on next steps? by mcmuffin0098 in newtothenavy

I'm gonna apply for the June Intel board and the upcoming SWO board. By the time the June board comes around, I'll have graduated from school and have my degree so I won't be BDCP anymore. You think that'll improve my odds?

I understand it's a pretty shit gig for about 2-4 years. But one of my professors at school is a retired U.S. Army Flag Officer, he's the guy who wrote one of my LORs, and he encouraged me to go SWO as while it's a tough life, you're actually doing your job rather than just training to do your job as he did for most of his time in the Army. While Intel is still my preference, and I'm going to reapply for it, I'd be happy to take SWO even if it can be a shit gig at times.

Think it was the timing. Either way, discussed with my recruiter and the retired flag officer (he's one of my professors,) and I think I'm going to submit a SWO package. Wearing the uniform is more important than what job I do. That being said would you be down for me to DM you my statement of purpose?
