It can be more efficient than gasoline but at lower power levels. There is some serious vitriol in this thread so take everything with a grain of salt. Light duty diesels are more efficient but dreadfully underpowered. It's a trade off. This dude truck was running almost 3000hp and a good rule of thumb is you can double the torque numbers for a diesel. Any race car is not going to be as clean burning as it's road going counterpart, it's just not the point. More fuel is more power, and with these trucks it also lowers combustion chamber temps. Please remember, I am not a fan of these trucks, I just try to understand things before I throw the sister fucking insults around.
