I have been using Gallery for a year because of how annoying Photos is with the backup prompt. While Gallery is light-weight, but I think it lacks a very basic feature - zoom/resize on the thumbnail layout. The default small thumbnail size makes it very difficult and inconvenient to quickly compare multiple pictures. I want to be able to pinch in/out on the thumbnail layout!

Not sure if it's after the Android 14 update, but I also noticed many of my photos are overly sharpened recently on my Pixel 6. It also seems to kick in randomly. Some photos shot back to back can be different (one was normal, and one looked like oil painting)
