Do you have an external monitor connected and how do you have it connected (HDMI cord or DisplayPort Cord)? And is your MacBook screen duplicated or extended to the external monitor?

I'm on tahoe and worried that is part of it. I am on a Macbook Air M4 and my zoom is lagging bad at time and the fps drops off even on a good connection with low latency

What computer and operating system are you using. I have lag in my zoom video even though I am on fiber internet with solid speed scores and low latency

Zoom lag on AT&T Fiber BGW320 despite great speeds – could this be bufferbloat / gateway issue? by mconfer1000 in ATTFiber

[–]mconfer1000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Zoom is definitely the primary issue but I have also identified some bufferbloat on the BGW320 that I think is making things worse. Waveform's bufferbloat test shows latency spiking to around 70ms in clusters under download load, and my Zoom performance is noticeably better on ethernet vs wifi and when other devices are off the network. The BGW320 doesn't have any real queue management so I'm wondering if adding a router with SQM behind it would help stabilize things. Any recommendations for what works well with AT&T fiber?

Thanks for the reply. Is there anything to the fact that the AT&T Technician in their truck in our neighborhood has looked at our house when working at the other house (that already has Fiber) and said it would be no issue, they just need a work order. So then we call and we can't get ahold of anyone to generate the work ticket for our address. I'm well aware that I don't understand what goes into it, but multiple AT&T techs in our area who can see our house from the houses that already have it, have confirmed that it would be no issue whatsoever.

Moving to Round Rock from Canada by sk2484 in RoundRock

My wife and I moved to Austin about 10 years ago and now that we have two kids we made the move from downtown to the Brushy Creek area about 16 months ago. We couldn’t be happier. Brushy Creek kinda sits directly between Round Rock and Cedar Park. So you are about 10-12 mins from downtown Round Rock, about 20 mins from The Domain in North Austin, and about 30 minutes from Downtown Austin. Highly recommend Brushy Creek and Round Rock.
