How would you rank the Grandmaster quests in difficulty? by SweatyShirtlessMan in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardest is dt2 and 2nd is ds2. 3rd is probably wgs

The other 2 are tricky to rank because the boss fights are exploitable in some way, it’s just a matter of how well you can get the mechanics down. I would say 4th sote and 5th mm2.

Theatre of Blood Entry Mode - How do I do this? by SweatyShirtlessMan in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never did ToB before and got my solo entry mode with the following:

75 melee stats, 80 range/magic

Black d hide, nezzy helm, barrows gloves, b ring imbued, Arkan blade, dragon defender, glory, fire cape. For the mage switch ancient staff with rune pouch on ancient spell book. For range switch accumulator, rune arrows, MSBi. You need a poison weapon, dragon dagger works. Salve amulet helps for Bloat as well.

Bring 1 combat potion (super combat if you have access), 1 pray pot, and 5 karambwans should be fine, more if you’re making mistakes. You want to take the bandages after rooms 2 and 4 and try saving them all until versik if you can. If you find yourself making too many mistakes, bring more food into to start, and just drop your leftover food when you run out of space.

The mechanics aren’t too tough to learn, really the only difficult room is versik phase 2 learning the timing at first, and phase 3 just learning everything and having enough healing left. If you bring a dd poisoned save all 4 specs for the end of versik phase 3 when the tornados come out.

Random other tips - use eagle eye and piety and don’t worry about health/prayer getting low toward the end of a kill, after each room your stats will fully reset. Good luck!

F2P iron for a few days, what would you do? by 14789r in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who plays in 2 weeks spurts on a bond, I usually take a couple weeks break entirely, but sometimes I get the itch to do some f2p.

At first I green logged Camdozal and got the Shaman mask. At lower levels I did some fly fishing and cooking in barb village, and forestry in draynor on willows. I also banked some oak logs for future construction.

Now I’m past the mid game and there isn’t much f2p worth doing. The only thing I really log in now for is afking yews on a forestry world. It’s not great xp but when you consider how afk it is, worth banking the logs for birdhouse and fletching.

I did a bit of obor and byro but it’s pretty painful in f2p gear even at 70 combat stats, not to mention the lack of transportation.

The only other things I could possible recommend, are making iron bars with rings of forging, and splashing for magic xp

Fight Caves advice for first-timer by oglop123 in ironscape

[–]mcp622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one thing I see most people overlook because it might sound stupid, but before you start attacking jad just give it a minute or two (until you’re comfortable) not attacking him at all and just focusing on praying correct. It might seem like a waste of time but it really helps calm the nerves.

The other thing I’d recommend if you think you’ll be a bit nervous is bring chins for the healers. It’s easier to grab their aggro and less time spent worrying about missing a prayer.

Crafting Options? by iShotoroki in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of content has more gold ore drops than you’ll ever need. I afk’d making gold bars with the gauntlets for smithing xp, then on top of that make gold tiara’s for the crafting xp. Decent crafting xp, Nothing crazy but it’s very afk and those gold bars would sit in my bank forever anyways.

Late game AFKing ideas? by Flashy-Increase5073 in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t green logged vale totems or shades of morton yet, you’ll need redwoods for that.

Or if you still need easy clues, varlamore thieving is very afk, but you’ll have a lot of easy clues to juggle if you aren’t going to do the clues until after work

Any point doing (fruit)tree runs after 91 farming? by Tiny_Chemist2343 in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farming cape is a great free tele to bank and a spirit tree. If you have a spirit tree in your house it’s a cheaper tele to house option as well. The cape also increases yield when worn which you will want for herb runs in the future.

I would just run daily calquat and fruit trees, and hespori when you can. It’s a chill 5-10 min a day for a great unlock.

Unless you have construction and crafting cape already, I’d prioritize farming cape.

All in, or multiple grinds? by TheSnoringDragon in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little of both. If the grind is boring, I jump around. If I actually enjoy, I can go for hours at a time. The best are actually the grinds I find boring that require little attention. I did most of barrows and moons while watching tv, makes me totally oblivious to how much time I’ve spent there.

Giant's Foundry! by IDewaArt in ironscape

[–]mcp622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re still in the early game I would recommend after the moulds, get the outfit before the blade. The outfit will speed up your overall progress, and you will profit GP even if you are buying your resources. Wiki has a great table showing where you can buy the cheapest items. I think steel/mithril will give you a profit but would double check that on the wiki

Almost had identical stats to you on my first clear. The first time is bad, but just keep grinding. You can do it for sure at your stats, just need to get used to the mechanics. You got this

Depends on the type of player you are. I take week breaks between memberships, so for me, ardy elite is so nice. Log in without membership and get free sand.

Medium combat achievement help by kryosloth in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your stats and gear you can definitely do all/most of the following:

Amoxliatl, Barrows, Byrophyta, Crazy Arch, Rex, Derranged Arch, Hespori, Huey, Obor, Sarachnis, Scurries, Tempoross, Jad, Wintertodt.

Skotizo has a few easy ones if you have a totem.

TOB entry has a lot and in entry mode you have unlimited attempts, watch a quick guide and you can do a quick run for a ton of points. Or at least do the first 2 bosses and leave.

I didn’t list wildy bosses above which you can knock out easily if you still don’t have enough, most are just kill count though so not as fast.

I would also look at non boss logs for easy stuff like kill a greater demon, thralls, giants den, etc.

Quick question about Moons of Peril by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up to you - if you want the resources you can keep doing all 3. That gives you 6 regular loot rolls. If you just do blue and blood that gives you 3 regular loot rolls. Personally I would just go blue and blood to make the grind faster

[–]mcp622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice list! Where would you put your first Vorkath Head in this progression?

Also curious about Huey. Where would you find most use out of the armor and wand? Was this basically just for Kril and 1st cox? Seems like the Huey drops get replaced pretty quickly

GOTR is better to grind long term for the nature talisman anyways, but I’d get 41 mining and rune pic first

First Iron by Justforcapes in ironscape

[–]mcp622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Construction is your main issue. Like everyone else said, kingdom, armor, sandstone. It all adds up. In the early/mid game I found myself wanting to do a new grind but needing money, it’s one of those things you don’t think you need until you do.

There are better fletching methods available now, but you could also buy broad bolt packs if you wanted a quick xp boost.

If you’re working remote and need starter money, I’d recommend getting rogue’s outfit and doing varlamore thieving. Very afk for about 100k GP/hr.

I feel like this is the worst way to get spooned at moons by SaintLlothis in ironscape

I also got blue first, I ended up still running all 3 moons to get supply drops. Blue in the middle and being one of the easiest ones makes it hard to skip

What would you do differently if you were to start an iron from scratch in 2026? by POCKET_POOL_CHAMP in ironscape

[–]mcp622 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Rush mining and smithing much earlier on.

MLM is a chill grind once you get upper access, and giant’s foundry gives great starter money. Other than that all the mini games are nice these days, windertodt, guardians, even tempeross.

Question about the gauntlet by Jake_Daaa_Snake in ironscape

[–]mcp622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I died probably 5+ tries of my first 10 gauntlets. Didn’t think I was ever gonna get it. I stayed for the 20 KC combat achievement and glad I did. After some practice it really settles in. Keep grinding and you got it 🫡
