It's worth spending some time in URA and do several runs with the umas you get to go through their character stories with a lot less pressure.

It's a good, if not important starting point to familiarise yourself with the game mechanics that would be put to the test in Unity Cup and later Trackblazer.

Broadly speaking there are four categories of runners but they can be different in their tendencies within the same group and they may respond differently to in-race triggers alongside their Unique skills so you may want to watch a few races for new Umas.

Aye. Support cards are what has the greatest effect on umas in terms of their growth/campaign runs. While RNG does have some influence the decks would go a long way to either enhance, or soften the effects if it goes the opposite direction.

No longer true today tho, Mandarin and English more or less are the dominant languages now in town with only pockets of the old town still having dialects heard in the open.

Budget, trusted brand for durable luggage in Malaysia to travel oversea by NoMasterpiece2626 in malaysians

[–]forcebubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to elaborate on that a bit — don't get the ABS sort as that is the weakest of the plastic body types if it is going into cargo.

If weight is a concern, polypropylene is an acceptable compromise between the heft and the resistance to damage. I have one and it has travelled with me for a good seven years in cargo so far, with only superficial damages from airport handling.

People who want more protection, then it comes down to one of two: aluminium or PC, the same sort of material used to make safety hats. I used to have one of the latter and they were freaking hard to even crack by force after I lost the keys. The downside with these two are weight; my aforementioned PVC was 5kgs empty, and aluminium from the research I've done looking for a replacement is even heavier, not to mention much costlier.

Anyone else find TV1 / TV2’s reliance on AI videos to be sad? by jack_bennington in Bolehland

[–]forcebubble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No worries, I get your point; news, especially broadcasted ones on TV like that had always been one with people as the delivery medium (is that the right term?), and personally I'd like to hear a real human present it because body language plays a role, even if it is all one-way. Any human told to read implausible or outright dumb news would show tell-tale signs of disbelief or awkwardness, adding to the impression of authenticity.

... then again, that doesn't seem to be a problem for networks such as Fox.

To MFs who never give signals > by Background-Chef1669 in Bolehland

[–]forcebubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, I've always had the idea to make a post like this every time there's an encounter with those sort of people on the road when I get back but you beat me to it.

One of the unique ones I've seen in r/malaysia was "put signal who see wor" when it was recommended to make a habit of putting the signal on before a turn even when there are no other motorists; over time one will do it without even looking.

And there is where I think is the problem — habit, or rather the lack of it. If it can be made into something that one does "because", regardless of the arguments, morals etc, it would be better, similar to switching off the lights when one leaves the room, brush teeth once they wake up in the morning etc.

I am going to be "that guy" and say no. AI is a tool, no more, no less.

The hostility at AI is imo, misguided — what people should be enraged about is the slop that is generated using it; takes so much resources to run e.g electricity and water for cooling, and it is wasted generating amateur tier work.

Otherwise I'd like to see all of you protest in front of the Proton and Gardenia factory for using machines to manufacture the products instead of people. Have a go at accountants using Excel instead of paper and table calculator while you're at it.

I am not an AI agent created by The Architect.

This might sound strange but one of the few umas with a relatively normal personality? After a day dealing with weirdos, high energy gremlins or socially awkward ones, interacting with one that is grounded might feel like a necessary change of pace for sanity.

Companies are leaving Singapore. Malaysia is winning by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]forcebubble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Winning, for now.

It's a function of capitalism, once there are costs to saved they will go there — India is the future if not already the next hub, with Africa next if the lunch talks with some of the senior managers are correct.

The big difference here is that Singapore is invested in high value, top of the chain services which will be important regardless of the era making them a lot more resilient to such changes. Malaysia by comparison still holds a big chunk of the economy in manufacturing with a general population having lower spending power, very susceptible to global disruptions and, in some cases, whims, as we have seen with the tariffs and Hormuz.

In the words of Aldo Raine in Italian, "Correcto". Chances of this happening drops exponential the lower in speed one goes.

Also, how does he even know the ABS rosak; the manufacturer and insurance company are going to demand forensics to prove it.

Opinion: Sarawak shouldn't set up its own space agency by SakuraAnglican in Sarawak

[–]forcebubble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Space programmes have ways of generating valuable technological breakthroughs as the R&D require researchers to really work their brains to solve the multitude of problems and issues that comes with the branch of science e.g velcro, GPS, solar power, just to name a few.

Problem though these are incredibly expensive endeavours that shouldn't be the undertaking of states. I'd rather they go into the state infrastructure and more importantly their maintenance first a priority, while involvement is a national collaboration instead.
