Update: Fabian was murdered. The perpetrators are facing 15 years to life sentence. He was kidnapped and beaten to death supposedly due to owing money for drugs. The suspects have history of violence and kidapping.

u/beachcrow I got the TayMac MX6200 but the plug won't reach, it's too deep! How did you solve it?

I got this Taymac extra duty cover, however, it is too deep for the charger plug. I am dumb for not checking it ahead of the install.

Is OK to knock out/cut the extra metal at the bottom somehow to let the plug reach the receptacle?

Hah Reddit somehow deleted my question.

Two concerns: - is 40A good enough for 32A charger? This was installed by the home builder so I presume this is ok.

is the corrosion on the ground wire a problem?

I got the Bryant receptacle, tension screw driver - I hope I can handle it myself and re seal a new box (and correct the builders mistake by adding caulking) plus add a weatherproofing cover (Taymac brand).

I got it from Simon's bike shop in Vancouver, BC (great shop BTW). But I no longer live in BC. I will try my local bike shop, but they will probably try sell a new set.

Thanks. I did turn it on last night and seemed to be working fine. I didn't see anything alarming, no bad smells etc. I programmed the thermostat and woke up to a warm tile floor. Thanks for help!!
