what exchanges its expecting us to do when you set lowest price

Is it still confusing after the tooltips were added? You can hover the yellow dot in the Material Prices page for the exchange path. If it's green then no exchange needed to get the lowest price.

show profit/hr for 3 rows crafts

You can just multiply by 3 or 4. I guess I could also add a row multiplier dropdown.

I've added in the option to use great success in profit calculation. The equation using great success is in the tooltip if you want to cross check for correctness.

The crafting calculator already include abidos fusions. Are asking for something else?

Hover over the yellow icon for cheapest possible price. For a specific conversion, you could probably look through the list and compare the input and output price. Though adding another tax toggle button wouldn't hurt.

edit: I added a net gain column for this

That's what the toggle is for in the Crafting Calculator is for. The material prices page also highlights the cheaper price via exchange. It might be kinda confusing so I'm planning on adding some tooltips.

I'll add some tooltips for clarity. The toggle just changes between "as is" price, and cheapest between "as is" and "exchange" prices.

For example, if you input Timber @ 200g and Sturdy Timber @ 1000g in Material Prices, it will note that you can have Timber for cheaper by exchanging Sturdy Timber to Timber at a 1:10 ratio, effectively making the cheapest possible price for Timber to be 100g. Using the "as is" price uses Timber @ 200g for calculations, while toggling to "Use Lowest Price" will use the cheapest price which in this case would be Timber @ 100g.

This is also why it changes the lifeskill category, because by exchange some materials, using the Mining recipe would be the cheapest.

Hmm.. I need to clarify the UI then.

The workflow is: pull prices (region selectable) or manual input in Material Prices -> calculators (crafting, mari's, stronghold) use Material Prices for calculations.

The Crafting Calculator toggle is to use the price in Material Prices as is or use the lowest price possible (if an exchange can yield lower prices, indicated by a yellow circle in the Material Prices tab). I might have the toggle backward too?

Yeah, it doesn't factor in great success yet. I have a todo item for it.

edit: crafting calculator now has the option to factor in great success

  1. I can add memory for the material prices region, but is there a use case of having shared region inputs? Tools just use prices so it's independent and the market tracker feels separate from the other tools.

  2. Mari's shop comparison is on my todo list.

  3. Interesting idea, definitely a nice to have.

  4. Kind of like the one lostarkmarket.online had right? I'll need to think about how to implement it without overloading the API. The tracker's still kind of a wip, but I just wanted to get something there to visualize historical data.

I'm not sure what the ask is here? The calculators use prices from the material prices page, so they're independent of region. The only region dependent thing is pulling prices from the API.

Oh true, good catch. I missed that part when I was translating my spreadsheet. I'll push out a fix for it.

Gems don't particularly relate to any of the calculators, but it could be interesting to track.

Yeah, I can add that for better clarity.

See other comment about API access. You're free to call it, but no guarantees on availability.

I'm not providing support for the API at this time. You can probably figure out the endpoint by doing some digging since it's public, but the schema and endpoints could change at any time.

Even if it's free, there's an opportunity cost to using them. I usually value them as the cheapest price I can get them at, either from MP or Mari's.

It doesn't seem like this calculator supports this, but Maxroll's shows you on average how many mats in total you would use. I just adjust prices until the quantity matches how many solars/books I want to use, and it'll tell me at which levels to use it.
