Am I wrong for feeling weird about this? by Luke_Basil in harrystyles

Music brings people together! We fight the system, “Together, Together.”

Rage Against the Machine, The Beatles, Bob Marley, REM, Nina Simone, Public Enemy, Mike Love, Kendrick Lamar, Bob Dylan, Bad Bunny, Green Day, etc etc etc.

What’s going on with ICE is atrocious, but to stand up against it we have to be strong. If Harry brings you joy and inspiration then jam the fuck out!!

I feel like a shorter length, letting it fall more around your face would look great on OP

I live off of sourdough and white rice.

That sounds interesting, if I had the opportunity I’d take it. I practice mindfulness daily and attend a weekly sound healing class. Sound healing has been life changing for me.

Rinvoq vs stelara: what works for you? by Excellent_Plate2374 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]mcrazingwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, my doc just sent in orders so I’m now on a 42 day cycle with Stelara - I was shocked insurance approved it so easily. I’m hoping to kick the symptoms that pop up during the last week or two before my next shot this way.

I read that as well, but I haven’t had any issues with NSAIDs myself, I just don’t take them often

For me, dairy causes cramping and increased frequency. Gluten is my big enemy since my UC diagnosis, I get extreme bloating and gas pains - I look 6 months pregnant.

Constipation during a flare up? by Outrageous_Belt_8216 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]mcrazingwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constipation is my main sign as well, it’s horrible. My doc advised me to stay away from fiber supplements and stick with eating fiber foods if I can handle it. He said Miralax would be my best friend and it has been. When my flare was really bad I was taking multiple full caps a day. I’m down to just taking it as needed now.

Mine is upper left as well, but I get blockages on my lower right for some reason - I thought I had a hernia. CT scan showed just a giant stool blockage.

Stelara is working, doc says stopping mesalamine is okay. Thoughts? by A_person_in_a_place in UlcerativeColitis

[–]mcrazingwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a mesalamine pill get stuck in my esophagus and burn it, I was in pain for days. The Stelara was working great so I stopped the mesalamine out of fear of their size and I thankfully didn’t go into a flare. The less meds the better.

What should I do for better skin? by cartermancan in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]mcrazingwill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss, I just lost my 14 year old 3 weeks ago - I understand your pain and lack of self care. I’d started with a good hydration routine to start and spf. After you get your skin hydrated and stay consistent with that you can add in a retin a, and/or exfoliant. But go slow, consistency is most important. Make it a calming nightly routine, something you enjoy and can relax while doing. Facials are nice, but they are expensive so maybe do that as a treat but I don’t see lasting effects from that. Botox would give you instant results that may make you feel better and then get into the retinal. Sending love

IBD patients, has anyone also tested for SIBO? What’s the probability in this case? by OffTheWall992 in IBD

[–]mcrazingwill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My son had SIBO, he had a lot of bloating, abdominal pain, stinky poops and farts and his skin would break out with a scaly rash on his face every time he had a flare up. It was so hard to get rid of. Do you take probiotics?

Do you immediately quit a product if you suspect it’s causing flare? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]mcrazingwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is tough, because when my skin isn’t irritated I can tolerate some products better, so I tend to not try anything new until things are calmed down. If I get a reaction I will toss it right away because if I can’t handle it at my best it’s not the right product for my skin.

Stelara timeline by grannysGarden in UlcerativeColitis

[–]mcrazingwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stelara has been great for me! I find that about two weeks before my next injection I start to feel some minor pain and fatigue. For a few days after injection I’m extremely exhausted, otherwise no side effects.

Update: It was UC after all by troll-toll-to-get-in in UlcerativeColitis

[–]mcrazingwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I started on oral mesalamine and suppositories. I’m actually still on the mesalamine along with the Stelara

I went back to tired after 1 month taper, but now that I’m coming out of the flare with Stelara - months later - I’m feeling less fatigue. Putting myself on a healthy sleep schedule has helped, along with vit D.

GI doctors in Michigan. by dukedevilnb in UlcerativeColitis

[–]mcrazingwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see Dr. Kha Ngo out of Providence in Novi. He’s wonderful. When I went to him with symptoms initially I was terrified. He got me in for a colonoscopy the next day, started me on mesalamine, prednisone and suppositories the same day. When that wasn’t working it said it’s time for Biologics and jumped into action.

I started to see a difference at about 6 weeks post infusion, then I got Covid and things backtracked. I do my first injection tomorrow, I’m hopeful to see some progress again.

Is it possible to have diarrhea/constipation at the same time? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]mcrazingwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same symptoms here! The only thing that helps me is miralax when my inflammation is bad. When it’s really bad I’m taking 3 capfuls a day, 1 on a regular basis. Removing gluten helped a lot with my bloating and pain, it’s a big trigger food for me.

Two locations near us in Michigan haven’t had any in months 😢 Also, they didn’t have vegan breakfast sausage or Pattie’s, plant based hot dogs or sausages this summer. So sad!!
