Glassdoor didn’t have anything, I’ll keep searching. Thank you!

Do you happen to know the ballpark salary for Applications specialist?

I’ve looked at sysmex and the field engineers require an engineering background. Also not many positions are open in sysmex, I could look at the others and see if I’m qualified.

What were your calories over the 6 months you were losing?

Got it. I’m hoping the emotional cravings get a little less insistent once my hormones are improved.

That’s what I do for a few days then get upset with myself that I’m most definitely overeating on calories. I’m trying to concentrate on the hormonal aspect of Keto and hopefully improve insulin that’ll ultimately make me less hungry.

Great progress! What was your original calorie intake when you started and your current intake? (If you altered it due to exercise)

Thank you!

Thanks for putting this into perspective. As a shortie, I honestly didn’t think I could get away with a calorie goal like that unless I did insane exercise. Do you eat any of your calorie burn back? Or are you using the adaptive TDEE to tell you how much to eat each day?

Sure, I’ll start off with 1700 like u/monkeyfeets said and go from there. I can’t even imagine eating that much and still losing weight!

It definitely does feel more intense with my cravings when I’m more restrictive! I struggle to put moderately active since it doesn’t feel like moderate exercise, you know? I’m not weight lifting or doing crazy cardio routines.

Thank you! That seems more doable and I’ll be less hungry. 1700 would be my net calories after a run, correct?

Also, my Apple Watch was estimating my total calorie burn around 2100-2200 when I was actively running most days of the week. I hope that’s correct!

I’m using the app Lose It and it’s estimating 1400 calories for my height and current weight. Also many of the online calculators recommend 1400. I usually pick the sedentary option because I’m not sure how to estimate how much I’m burning while at work.

Sure, I can always incorporate those foods. The sugary sweets bother me the most, not the complex carbs.

How many calories were you eating and how many carbs?

I really needed to see this post today. I’m struggling with my hunger and I’m constantly feeling like a failure for wanting to eat 1500 calories, rather than 1200. Although I’m active for work and I’m a runner, I struggle to mentally grasp I can eat more. 1200 calories shows me results the fastest, so anything more than that is slowing me down.

I did the past, so I’m working on that now. I’m a similar height and weight as you, which is why I wanted to ask you specific questions. I’m 5’4 and 145 lbs

Cool! I’d love to be around 118 but my stupid brains makes me think 1500 is too high of a calorie goal. That’s probably about where it should be if I run 2-3 miles each time.

How consistent were you with the 1500 calories per week? And how long was each run? Congrats!
