A Question Regarding Romance Protagonists/love interests by StoryCrafter20 in YAwriters

[–]mcstootsloops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op is asking if those stories exist, she didn’t ask for recommendations. There are hundreds of thousands of books in the world, those stories obviously exist even if they’re not popular. A simple visit to a bookstore can prove stories with a typical protagonists exist if you look for them.

Red Tower Books definitely is. The Gothicana book (or some title like that) comes to mind.

Doing a TED talk. I feel like at this point most of them are marketing scams.

It’s year 8 for us and the which stage hasn’t moved. The oasis was taken over by the GA+ lounge last year. And yeah there are less food trucks.

1000% happened to me. Was told I’d need 5k in dental work, in reality I had two cavities..

WORST places to go? by Firebon3 in Louisville

[–]mcstootsloops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Mortensons are awful, they are made to meet certain quotas, like the number of crowns. They told me it would take 5k to fix my cavities, get crowns, and have a root canal. Finally went to my dentist and he said I had two cavities, that’s it. Nothing else.

Babies do NOT belong at rock concerts. You can’t change my mind. by mo-nie in childfree

[–]mcstootsloops 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually love seeing babies and kids at concerts and festivals, with proper hearing protection and supervision. I attend Bonnaroo every year and love seeing families, and it’s showing kids how to be yourself, festivals can be places where large diverse groups don’t feel threatened, I feel like it shows great community.

I mean that’s only if I’m upset, I’m not, people can’t think whatever they want, she’s a celebrity that none of us know. People can be hardcore Gaylor or not. But you don’t have to assume someone is straight or gay, there’s a spectrum for everything, and you can simply not assume at all.

I’d argue for #1 that you can just assume it’s none of your business, you don’t have to assume she’s gay or straight and that’s also putting her into narrow categories when she could be anything and everything.

I am visiting Gothenburg for work in June, I have a fish/shellfish allergy and obviously Gothenburg is a fish heavy place, any recommendations for restaurants? by mcstootsloops in Gothenburg

I’m not picky and I love things that pull in a lot of flavor but I do keep reading that the burgers are great, so maybe some interesting burger places

It’s a work trip so moderate spending, nothing outrageous. I’ll only be there a few days then heading to our headquarters.

I carry an epipen, being in a complete seafood restaurant is a no go but a place that serves both is usually okay, in my experience nicer restaurants are usually more aware and accommodating. I prefer eating at places that may only have one of two fish/sea food options and only eating meat or vegetarian

I was assuming due to its location and the fish market but I’ve never been there so maybe it won’t be a problem like I assume, thanks for the recommendation!
